Would be glad if You find the time to read this short explanations. We integrated reading functions of the GPS coordinates to keep the alert system running in the background. It is the only reliable way to do this. We don't track anything. There is no connection to any server neither a tracking server nor an analytics server. The APP is running completely offline (switch off the network to check if you want). The most secure way not to kill an APP is to activate the lock screen. You can do it manually, by system defaults or individual time. We put the alert "behind" the lock screen. Other APPS with code to secure a phone can easily be deactivated by killing the APP, Not with DevPro. Thanks again for choosing DevPro! The likelihood of this is hard to calculate but it made me start to investigate. User Rehptsirhez reported an issue and his writing did not closely match the other reviews. what is strange is the dev response. It’s the same kind of word salad that was common in the reviews that made my spider sense start tingling. It’s possible all the reviewers happen to be from a location where everyone speaks English as though they are reading a script that hasn’t been proofread. I could be totally wrong about my assessment. I’m just saying it’s not a good look and if I was involved with this app I’d be concerned. **Developer response:** Dear JABallou, Thanks for reaching out to us and many thanks for your comments. App seems to have a lot of fake 5 star reviews saying the same things under different names. **Developer response:** We are really upset that you are dissatisfied with the app. We integrated the missing function "motion detection" in combination with an alert. It is based on our own experience during several travels and leaving the mobile devices on a table or seat while we grab a breakfast at a buffet. Hope you will use the APP again. Dishonesty is not appreciated! ### 4/5 — Works really well... but why the need for location services??? *2020-06-27* The app works well and seems very polished, but I don’t understand why it needs location services(GPS)?? It’s not like if it gets stolen it’s going to track it and send you the location. Using GPS burns through your battery, this requirement needs to be removed. **Developer response:** Hello! Thanks for Using DevPro! ### 2/5 — Needs to be fixed *2019-11-20* Device: iPhone X OS ver: 13.2.3 Case 1: Enable from the App - Open app->Swipe to clock your device->Switch off the screen->Wait for 10-15 seconds->Move the device Result: It detected and alert when you’re moving the device. Case 2: Enable from the Widget -Open app->Create your custom preset->Go to the widget->Tab on your custom preset->Switch off the screen->Wait for 10-15 seconds->Move the device Result: In this case, the device is not detecting or alert at all when I was moving it. I just toyed with this app. Set it up and activated it. Placed the phone on my bed. Went to use the bathroom and wheeeooooeeeeeoooooo hahahah girlfriend grabbed my phone. Now she thinks I’m cheating on her. Hahah oh great! Haha just kidding. I told her I got it for her cause she had someone steal her phone from a shopping cart once. She like to leave her phone sitting on a table like it’s going to magically hold her spot and not end up in someone’s bag. Well now it does just that! Wishful thinking but wonder if it’s possible to have it “armed” while in use and once motionless for a few min it’ll go into protect mode?
