## What is devRant?

devRant is a fun community for developers to share and bond over their successes and frustrations with code, tech, and life as a programmer!

There are a lot of great technical resources for software developers out there, but not a lot of places you can go where you can talk about your life as a programmer with other people who really understand what’s got you feeling like a coding genius or like you’re surrounded by idiots (ok, maybe both). That place is devRant.

Our new, optional devRant++ add-on is an auto-renewing monthly subscription ($1.99 USD/month). Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews ($1.99 USD/month) unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Auto-renewal may be managed and turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase. You can see the full terms of service for devRant++ here: https://www.devrant.io/supporter-tos Privacy policy: https://www.devrant.io/privacy

### 5/5 — // "Immature"?

*2020-11-05, version 1.17.0*

printf("You're immature!")

### 1/5 — A Truly Discriminating community

*2020-10-26, version 1.16.0*

I joined devRant at the beginning of my journey as a developer and I was looking for help, tips, and support. Yet in return I was being outed for not being as skilled as the group and being less educated. Another issue is that there is a points system that discriminates beginners or people who won’t sink money into it, (you can purchase points in exchange for cosmetic items) it is not so much a community as it is a union.

### 1/5 — Horrible community

*2020-09-08, version 1.15.0*

Some people are alright. Most of the things you see on there are ok. Yet whenever I said something I would be completely hated on. I couldn’t say a thing without people being rude to me. It’s a ranting app, never really wanted people to respond, I just wanted to say how I feel yet people made me feel worse about everything. I had to delete my account because things got so bad. Don’t go there if you already ate bad mentally.

### 1/5 — App good, community evil

*2018-08-10, version 1.12.1*

From my very own experience I can tell that the idea, as always, was great, but the community of people most vocal there consists mostly of self centered ignorant angry thugs. I tried, I posted, I left unimpressed.

### 1/5 — Pretty immature community.

*2018-06-28, version 1.12.0*

Probably great if you’re real young and/or immature. Kinda feels like BBSs's I used to hang out on when I was 13.

### 5/5 — Really awesome

*2018-06-26, version 1.5.10*

Great app. On average, the people are above average.

### 5/5 — Don’t hesitate to get involved.

*2018-01-19, version 1.11.0*

It truly is an outstanding community. Considering most others out there (which I will not name) have such a toxic community.

### 5/5 — ++

*2018-01-08, version 1.10.0*

Great community.

### 5/5 — Awesome app and community!

*2017-07-27, version 1.9.3*

Great design, great functionality, awesome community to discuss and rant about the day to day things that devs deal with!

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2017-05-21, version 1.8.4*

Nice UI, no adds, and a great community of devs.
