It seems to be more a list of contacts like so many other CRMs. Cannot test without giving your credentials to your Google or other accounts – phishy. Also, I found people reporting that data was not deleted after they cancelled – a huge privacy concern. Deleted it before even being able to create a first contact. ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2026-02-10, version 3.51.0* It’s a great concept and should be the perfect thing, but I cannot get it to fully connect to appointments and email. ### 2/5 — More AI needed *2026-01-02* I wish there was more AI features to do the heavy lifting, much manual work here - will come under severe pressure from mail apps that are baking in most CRM features now… ### 2/5 — Too many bugs *2025-11-21* The app has got huge potential and it solve the purpose of managing networking. However, the save and add buttons don’t work. This is not expected with the kind of money. It asks. ### 2/5 — Mobile App Keeps Freezing *2025-05-20, version 3.5.0* I really really want to love this app and use it. Anytime I try to use any of the features in the mobile app, it freezes and I have to quit the app and reopen it. Hopefully this is fixed at some point because if so it’ll be powerful ### 2/5 — Love the concept, sadly, does not seem to be accessible with VoiceOver. *2025-03-01* I have been looking for an app that does exactly what Dex does and so was very excited to have found this. I am blind and use VoiceOver on both Mac and iOS. Unfortunately, while Dex does work fairly well with VoiceOver on Mac, it does not seem to ,work with VoiceOver on iOS. This is particularly problematic as the mobile app is required to set up some of the sync integrations. My plan is to reach out to the support contact in order to let them know of the issues I've encountered and if/when fixes get made, I'll be happy to update this review. All that said, I love the concept behind Dex and if you're looking for a relationship management service and if you don't rely on VoiceOver, this definitely is something to check out. ### 3/5 — This app just got worse after the update *2025-02-16* It’s buggy and feels like it gets buggier with every new platform release. The app has got huge potential but I have sort of lost trust in it cos it doesn’t work when it’s most needed. A lot of the buttons clicked don’t do anything, including the Google Action button when trying to sign up (I had to do it on desktop) and the import contact that worked once but not twice. That’s a lot in the first five minutes of onboarding… **Developer response:** Hi there, I’m so sorry that basic features like button clicks and contact import weren't working for you — you deserve a better experience than that, especially when comparing to another service. I wasted more time setting this up and attempting to delete it than anything else. Then it would auto start on my desktop, not allow me to close it out or force quit, which would then not allow me to delete the app itself . This is wild ### 1/5 — No communications *2025-11-05, version 3.37.0* Two emails and no response to either. This app is dead. ### 1/5 — I was so excited. Was *2025-10-10, version 3.32.0* I was excited what this tool could do. But I can’t even get past the intro part of the app. Hope they make some changes. Cool concept. It is a continuous issue. I would run like heck away from this because it does not work. And there is so many issues and it is very difficult to use. ### 1/5 — Too much money! *2025-01-21, version 3.0.0* I have paid for apps in the past but $12 a month for a glorified notebook? That is wild. Couldn’t even see what the app offered because I had to sign up and pay to even see the app. Immediately deleted it. $12 a month isn’t worth it. ### 1/5 — Broken at every turn *2024-11-08* Sadly, this app didn’t do anything it promised to do, and was too glitchy to use. I couldn’t sync with LinkedIn either in the app or the website, in spite of successfully going through the right process and trying for several hours. No contacts loaded. I only have a few hundred to load, so that shouldn’t be a problem. And when trying to import contacts from my phone, the checkboxes to pick which contacts to import were so glitchy it made the feature unusable. When I would try to uncheck a contact I didn’t want to import, the app would uncheck a different contact instead! Or the checkboxes just wouldn’t respond at all. It was totally sporadic and maddening. It was impossible to select the right contacts to import. For the few contacts that I was able to import, the rest of the app was laggy and glitchy too. The map view wouldn’t load at all, even though a few of my contacts have locations. And the website loaded the map, but didn’t show all my contacts that have locations on it. I have the latest updated app and I’m on a fast WiFi connection with a good phone that runs all other apps just fine. I’m bummed. The interface isn’t overwhelming even with thousands of contacts, I love that it automatically tracks every time I message people on WhatsApp or LinkedIn, and it’s fun to check off all my birthday and Keep In Touch reminders every day. Plus, the reminder and frequency catch-up features ensure you stay connected with everyone important. Dex fills my need to stay intentionally connected to the people in my life and that I've worked with. I didn't need the traditional corporate sales stuff - pipeline, workflow, etc. I just needed to keep up with my contacts, add quick notes, schedule follow ups, and hopefully have a tie-in to social media. Dex does all that, simply, and has a powerful browser extension.
