Wait a minute! could be 5 stars if…. Any way possible to make this to be able to perform  similar to the desktop version with Sysex files as a editor and librarian. I though I would be able to send presets to my Yamaha TX7 with this app alone. You can on the desktop version and its free. I paid for the iPad version and I’m shocked that feature was left out, I may need to purchase something else that will due both what I thought this would due since it costed me a fee, PLEASE UPDATE 2026??????

レイアウトをPC版そのままにしているのでスクロールしないといけなくて非常に音が作りにくい。仕方ないので音色をあらかじめPC版で作ったデータをiPadにコピーしたらスタンドアロンでは読めるのに、何故かcubasis3を介すると読めない。何とかしてほしいです。

Can’t load cartridges from online banks, trying to press load button blocks the app… very hard to create personal cartridges… any chance to solve this?

Forget not being able to save patches locally, not being able to load custom patches in auv3 is a way bigger deal. Most of us aren’t programming this, just loading some of the countless presets. And if we can’t load them, well, we can’t play them. I get that it’s basically the same problem, but, priorities. Also, it’s easy enough in the standalone app to load patches over Dropbox or whatever, no pressing need for a more robust transfer. Did I mention that we need to be able to load custom patches in auv3? Thx for this excellent port otherwise. I get how much work it is. Hope you stick with it.

Die Anzahl der mitgelieferten Bänke: sehr gut.

Aber die GUI!!! Nicht geschmacklich (darüber könnte man natürlich auch noch diskutieren), nein funktionell. Mein 13“ iPad 2020 (iPadOS 17.4.1) reicht nicht, um das ganze PlugIn darzustellen. Es scheint zu gehen, aber der Klick auf‘s Auge zeigt zwar Parameter, die mich aber nicht weiterbringen.

In Logic für iPad werden Bänke importiert, allerdings die Namen der Presets nicht geändert. Drehen ins Hochformat hilft manchmal, um an alle Parameter zu kommen. Das Redraw der Oberfläche schleichend! 5-10 Sekunden, bis alles dargestellt wird.

Die Mac Version ist auch nicht perfekt aber im Vergleich hierzu sensationell.

I'm so glad there's a sunth that can load all the DX7 patches!

That being said, this app suffers from the exact OPPOSITE of the original DX7, too many controls on the front panel!

My dude, thank you for making this app, but make tabs/pages for the controls.  One giant scrollable main page is just un unuseable...

When trying to use breath controller patches, the parameters in the SETUP screen do not work at all. It is not possible to get DEXED to respond to breath controller data even when these settings are set right and the patch has been specially designed to respond to breath. This is a serious bug. Please fix.

Makes annoying pop on note release in lower register . Not sure the UI is usable, very cluttered, need to play with it. That pop has  to be fixed.

First: The sound quality is above any criticism. Being able to compare it to the original DX7 here I would even say that the emulation sounds better, but...
Also, the emulation of the algorithms is perfect. 

But: Compared with the PC version, the screen design is - arrrrgggh. Why not the decent graphical elements that please the eye in the PC version? These pinkish scales cause visual cortex cancer, at least. 

Moreover, the eye-shaped icon covers a parameter field here. Why not move it to the space where the dexed lable lives? 

On my iPad Pro 9.7“, there is an unused, empty stripe of several millimeters width at the right screen border. Looks a bit like being left on the to-do-list, at least not yet quite perfect. 

The organisation of the imported sysex files looks a bit MS_DOS style, that would benefit from a more informative structure and appearance. 

Overall: you get a lot for €4,49, but the above mentioned things would make the app even more attractive. Hope to see as much as possible in the next update!

Se abre la aplicación pero sólo funcionan tres de los sonidos, en el tercero se queda colgada una de las teclas sin poder desactivarla. No se activan los sonidos más allá del tercero, se queda parpadeando la opción sin lograr cambiarse el sonido. iPad Pro M4 iPadOS 26.5.2. Solicitado reembolso.

M1 iMac Pro.  Haven’t been able to use this app at all.  The interface is poorly designed.  Bugs are numerous.  To use this App I have to delete the app everytime and reload.  There little icon that does something with focus.  Little X on bottom removes keyboard with no clear way to get keyb back.  Load one or two Syx files from the Cart and buttons stop responding.  Back to removing and reloading.  This is a mess.

This app doesn’t work properly. Incredibly buggy and should not be on the App Store. So many who would use this and are already familiar with the vst version. Unfortunately it looks like there’s been no proper update in 4 years, so I’m deleting it. Shame. Vst version is good.

It hangs, blasts random bursts of loud static, can't load any of the "included 30,000 carts," and really really needs a MIDI PANIC button to deal with all of the constantly hanging notes. This isn't Dexed.

Been using Dexed on pC for years so it was a nice surprise to see its ported to iOS now. But it doesn’t work. Garbage. I sure hope I didn’t pay for this it’s useless!

IpadOs 15.7 Le patches si sovrascrivono con un semplice spostamento di un dito, facilissimo perderle, sovente alcune note restano bloccate, a volte si pianta tutto il programma all'apertura di determinati bank, in particolare sia in standalone che in aum ed anche audiomux, ergo ovunque. Lo scrolling delle patches è CATASTROFICO. Prodotto assolutamente INDECOROSO per girare dentro un costoso device Apple. L’unico punto di forza è lo sconfinato numero di patches. Se non le sovrascrivi tutte passandoci con un dito sopra. 1 stella è il giusto giudizio. So che nel corso degli anni non hanno mai prestato attenzione all’evoluzione dei sistemi operativi ios, pertanto se possedete un device più vecchio con un superato ios le cose potrebbero profilarsi meglio, sulle ultime release ios è un MARTIRIO. APPLE dovrebbe intervenire ed imporre un upgrade.

I’m a big fan of DX7 emulators and use Dexed the VST instrument, along with FM8 and DX7 V collection. This port is very poor and glitchy and worst still doesn’t come with the 20,000 cartridges as stated in the app description. The GUI is a little crude and overall this looks amateurish in comparison to the VST version. 

Others can make an iOS synth feel like the software equivalent of a DAW instrument, take TAL UNO LX which is the same on the IPad as the VST and is great to play. This isn’t and I should have know better looking at the screenshots of the interface. 

I took a punt purely on the library of 20,000 banks of 32 presets, sadly they don’t seem to be there and I let them unpack on the first load.

Needs a lot more work, barring the ugliness this freezes all the time and is very unstable.

OK, so I’ve been using this app for many many months now. I use Logic Pro for iPad, and recently I’ve been trying to reset my preset list. Though I can’t delete any of my presets that have already been saved so I am not very sure what to do. though I am a vision impaired user, and I was thinking about writing this review upon implementing voiceover accessibility, but I figured it would be much easier to deal with the Logic Pro problem. Other than that, this app is great, and I could definitely use it for my biggest hopes and dreams when it comes to music creation. I plan on making video game music with it kinda like a Sega Genesis, but bigger and better. but, my presets list is too large for me to save anything and know where it is anymore, so if there is a way that the deletion problem can be solved, I would greatly appreciate it if this comes as soon as possible. also the reason I gave this app 5 stars is because it is literally what I’m looking for lol. It’s a great DX seven imitation, and I think it deserves less trash talk then it’s getting at this very moment. I understand there are some problems and yes, I do agree. People should be a bit more lenient to when typing out the reviews that they are writing out, because this app is literally basically the perfect FM synthesizer out there.

Вспомнив, как в юности тщетно пытался крутить fm7 или sytrus, хотел взять, чтоб в метро баловаться с осцилляторами-операторами, изучая fm-синтез. Прошерстил видосы с сравнения с конкурентами (их не мало, кстати на ios). По цене и функционалу есть, например, очень похожий kq dixie, ну в итоге таки выбрал сабж. 
Ха! Какое-там изучения синтеза - сюда загружены, похоже все банки инета. Буквально море пресетов(вроде, аж 20000 Банков написано, но мне показалось, по крайней мере несколько тысяч пресетов есть). Куда ни ткни - хочется слушать, играть на мидиклаве, брать разномастные аккорды. Звучание меня завораживает.  Например, в громоздском сэмплерном Syntronik есть пара fm синтов, но маломегабайтный сабж звучит даже убедительней. Сразу рисуются картины из детства, старые компы, люди в плащах и с зонтами и прочая няшмяшность. Я так думаю, в реальных Ямахиных железках поидее низ посолидней, да верха менее ядреные могут быть, однако и близко не могу сказать - фу, да это софтовый вээстэшный звук, не тру ! ))))
Кароч, чувачки, коль хоца не всратого трэпперного едээма, а нормально и душевно поиграть на клавишах, прочувствовав ретро-атмосферу тех фильмов, игр и пластинок, вот просто вот берите этот чудо-агрегат и вперед.

### 5/5 — Can’t get out of files when in Cubasis

Been using the VST version of this for years and it rocks, this port has some serious issues that need fixing. For instance when using it in Cubasis as an audio unit, when I hit cart and then start browsing the folders and pick a cart there is no way to get back to the synth editing parameters. I hope this gets fixed because this Dexed IOS port sounds great like the VST. I have old school Yamaha FM synths like my TG77 .. but with Dexed VST they just collect dust, and now I’m trying to transition away from my desktop computers to iPads only. Please please don’t abandon this iOS port guys! Big time thanks in advance!

Dexed VST is amazing and I’m sure this runs well on an iPad. But since I don’t have a working iPad at the moment I love that the app is allowed to work on iPhone. Granted there’s a lot of scrolling around on a small screen but it’s better than not being permitted to run at all. I appreciate having the choice, as I’m sure others do too. 

And it sounds great and has an unprecedented patch library for any iOS synth.

Been using it on PC for a while, Bought it immediately, same great engine same great sounds! My only suggestion would be to add an option to zoom the interface in AUv3 mode so it’s easier to get around using it in AUM
