Keep looking!!! ### 1/5 — Garbage...just every other DOD program. *2019-05-06, version 3.9* Completely worthless. It’s just an app that has FAQ’s and links to the already-worthless websites. No ability to access mypay/LES thru the app...you still need to go to the website and log in with UN/PW or CAC. I find it funny that we have the technology to drop a 5,000lb bomb on a pack of gum from half way across the globe...but I cant access my LES from my mobile device which uses face recognition and fingerprints for identification. ### 1/5 — Just a shortcut to website! *2019-04-26, version 3.8* Complete waste of time and memory! ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2019-01-29, version 3.7* Utterly useless application. If I wanted to go to the DFAS website to access MyPay data then I wouldn’t be getting an app. I’d go to the website. Click on mypay within the app and it opens the webpage in safari for IOS. No ability to fingerprint login to account and see MyPay data. It's slow and once you use a calculator you can't back out of it. You must close the app and reopen. If I need to know more about DFAS, I would just go directly to the website and not have an app take up valuable space on my iPhone. The app is poorly designed and not pleasing to look at. Can we please hire real developers to work on DOD approved apps so we can keep up with other apps in the store. Let's keep up with technology people. This is a shame. I wish I could have been the contractor who was paid to develop this. When you do, you have to start over as the app says if you leave the screen after asking for pin, you will have to start over. Endless loop. How more useless can this get? Waste of time and resources but it lives up to the Army’s philosophy of redundancy and overcomplicated outdated systems that don’t work for anything. ### 1/5 — ‘Links only’ App *2020-07-26, version 3.9.2* This app does one thing: provide links to websites. Want to check MyPay? You are better off searching on Google and bookmarking the site. At least you can save 50mb space on your phone. ### 1/5 — Pointless “middleman” app *2020-05-12, version 3.9.2* I see a common theme with TRADOC apps. They don’t really do anything but act as a go between from the end user to a website. They just have menus, a snippet of info, and links to existing websites. This is no different. All this does is reorganize some links that go straight to the DFAS website. Someone actually allocated funding for that... how wasteful. I stumbled on podcasts in this app, which are unsurprisingly non functional as well. The audio will play for a second and pause. You keep hitting play and it just pauses. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2020-05-04, version 3.9.2* Complete waste. All this app does is give you worthless links to the same garbage military websites. It’s 2020, we should be able to access our LES with our fingerprints and text code confirmation. If you email your LES as a PDF all that shows up on the other end is a link that can’t be used. If I could give this app a negative star I would. This needs to be advertised more by VA reps, Commands, Units, Squadrons, whatever means necessary. App stores are offering myPay apps claiming to make your smartphone access easier or more productive. WRONG! Other than the DFAS Info2Go app, there are no officially sanctioned myPay apps and those that are available only take you to the myPay mobile site already available and designed specifically for smartphones and tablets. Those who download and use the third party apps may even have their user names and passwords compromised without their knowledge. See the alert from the Army’s Computer Crime Investigative Unit for more info." ### 5/5 — Great app! *2013-10-31, version 1.2* I rescind my original one-star review and warning. There's a lot of misinformation and confusion about this app. This is indeed an authorized DFAS app, although DFAS themselves seem to be confused about that point. I personally called DFAS in regards to this app and they claimed to know nothing about it. I then did a bit more research and made some calls. The Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE) Mobile team, the creator of this and other military-related apps, is a small US Army sponsored shop out of Fort Lee, Virginia. They are working to have a link or article placed on the DFAS homepage acknowledging this app as valid. As we all know, this can be a long process. But don't take my word on this! Do your own research and you should come to the same conclusion that I did. As for the app itself, it's an excellent reference tool. There's numerous links to lots of good pay related information in a well-organized format. It also does NOT collect any PII. There is a link to MyPay, but that link leads directly the MyPay website, and no personal information actually goes through the app. So to sum up - great app, it is authorized (DFAS just needs to acknowledge it), and it does *not* collect PII! ### 5/5 — This is an official app not a scam *2013-10-31, version 1.2* This is by the Sustainment Center of Excellence @ Fort Lee (SCoE). There are other scams out there. This is fine to use. This is an Army built app. ### 5/5 — All Prior Reviews are WRONG. *2013-10-29, version 1.2* SCoE Mobile is an Army Approved Mobile Developer and worked hand in hand with DFAS to develop this app. They are located at Fort Lee. You can research them on Google and find they are valid! They can also be contacted for validation if needed. ### 3/5 — Dfas *2013-10-31, version 1.2* If you go to the Facebook DFAS webpage you will find the posting that actually recommends the app. ### 3/5 — First release *2013-09-05, version 1.0* Good first release, can't wait to see what gets added down the road. Needs civilian pay information too. Fonts are hard to read against the background (probably because its a serif font). There is a bug where you can't go back once you leave the app- have to close it out completely and start over. ### 2/5 — Good intent... Bad execution *2016-01-25, version 2.1.1* Trying to combine all of DFAS into a mobile app where you can access information, check LES and contact customer support would be awesome. The problem with this app is that it was probably developed by the government, who knows absolutely nothing about mobile solutions. The only thing they did was link all the websites into this app, so basically it's sending you to an external link in order to access of the above mentioned things. That is useless to me as the consumer. I can just go to the mobile website if that's the case. It's all about bringing a benefit to the end-user. The benefit would be to save time in order to access, for example, my LES. I'll give you a free idea... Let the user create a four digit pin in DFAS that they can link to the app. That way they can just type in a pin code and not a whole username and password.
