Learn tabla through guided lessons, thekas, kaydas, relas and focused riyaz. Dha combines a playable dayan and bayan with 28 taals, sam and khali markers, tanpura, lehera, metronome, MIDI and an Audio Unit extension. Practice feedback is honest by design. Audio stays on your device, and Dha grades only timing evidence it can measure clearly: pulse, relative spacing, tempo consistency and whether you returned to sam. When the recording is too quiet, clipped or uncertain, Dha abstains instead of guessing. Bol identity is guided and self-reviewed; it is not presented as automated recognition. Build a daily riyaz habit with practice days, XP, levels, assigned practice and earned milestones. Recite padhant in timing mode, revisit saved takes with local playback, and share a vertical first-win card with your real taal, tempo, stars and sam result. Private challenge links let friends and family try the same taal and tempo without public profiles or leaderboards. Two players wrote in: every timing check ended with "The microphone route is not ready yet," even though mic permission was on and Voice Memos recorded fine. Try again never recovered, and reinstalling didn't help. They were right, and it wasn't their phones — the app was opening the microphone in a way that could come up dead, and every retry reused that same dead route. Now each check opens a fresh audio engine, verifies the mic is actually live before you play, and rebuilds it from scratch if it isn't. The misleading "reconnect your microphone" message is gone too — nothing was ever wrong with your hardware. Thank you to the two people who reported this. ### 3.2.0 — 2026-07-24 Dha 3.2 introduces a complete honest-practice loop: riyaz days, XP and levels; guided practice progression; padhant timing; private friends-and-family challenges; Story-sized first-win cards; saved-take playback; reminders; and an offline on-device tabla coach. The new Lifetime option joins Monthly and Yearly access. We also fixed tab switching for iOS 26 and updated every support and privacy surface.
