### 3/5 — Stopped working

This app was great for a quick and dirty ballpark range for calculation but it has stopped working. It’s not pulling in the prices and shows zero. Wish there was a way to enter todays gold price and have it calculate it!

### 4/5 — App has stopped working

### 1/5 — Disappointed and annoyed

*2013-06-19, version 2.2*

This app used to work wonderfully. It wasn't up until about a month ago that I found out that it no longer works. Launching the app only crashes it after a few seconds. I was pleased to see that there was an update yesterday, but to my dismay, the app still does not work, and continues to behave in the same abnormal manner as before.

My brother has this app, and it gives him the same exact problem that it is giving me. I have an iPhone 5 and he has an iPhone 4S. We have even tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, but it still doesn't work.

Please fix this app.

### 1/5 — Ugh…

*2024-04-15, version 4.0*

Another calculator with a nice design layout but absolutely no functional value because it won’t connect to to internet to get current prices and for whatever reason there’s no way of manually entering current metal prices… did I mention it it has absolutely no functional value 🤦🏻‍♂️

### 1/5 — Precious mental values

*2024-02-10, version 4.0*

App is not working. It’s unable to show market value of any precious metal. so every value you put in is zero dollars.

### 1/5 — Not working again

*2024-02-03, version 4.0*

Not working again

### 1/5 — Precious Metal will not populate

*2024-01-29*

I went through the whole sequence to create a online orifile, so I could weigh the individual purities of gold, in small piles. The app will allow you to select metal type, metal purity, and once the weight of the items are entered in to the calculator, a disclaimer is all that is where the dollar amount should reflect. I tried three day in a row, thinking the app may be updating. I luck.

### 1/5 — No longer works

### 5/5 — Great

Great for up to the minute spot prices

### 5/5 — Very useful and portable

*2012-05-05, version 2.1*

Easy to work with and free

### 5/5 — Everything you need.

*2011-06-11, version 2.1*

If you are into selling your precious metal scrap this app is for you. The precious metal prices are shown on the home screen broken into two sections (1) with on the min. running markets and (2) closing markets used for estimates and can be used as a guideline to see how much you may expect. to receive by selecting the purity and entering the weight.

They also have the same concept for silver, platinum, and palladium. Which helps us avoid needing another app.

They improved there app by adding grams and pennyweights to the pricing calculator with there latest update. To avoid you going thru the hassle of converting gr./dwt. to ozt.

Great!!

### 5/5 — Very good

*2010-12-03, version 0*

Talked to the company. Update coming out in another 6 weeks. I found this very useful

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2010-10-12, version 0*

This app met my needs perfectly. I buy and sell gold each week and this app allowed me to get a quick and accurate calculation. I realize it isn't perfect, but it did everything that it promised to. Tell your friends!

### 4/5 — Love the app, but updates are in frequent

*2024-03-21, version 4.0*

I use this app all the time. The only issue I have is that it isn’t updated as often as it should be. When that happens all the values are zero.

### 4/5 — Good but London prices...

*2018-01-03, version 2.2*

Update:

Needs to be updated for 64bit iOS 11 support. At its current state, it will not run on ios11.

This is the best and easiest to use app of this kind. Please update, and I would gladly pay for it. Thank you.

This app is great if you want a quick estimate of some small amount of old jewelry or the like.

For a larger amount or an accurate price, it is a little off because of the prices it uses, which is the London pricing, not New York spot prices.

This is a great app if you are going to try to sell some OLD stuff at a pawn shop or jewelry store. You can instantly know if the store is ripping you a new one or just poking the existing one wider =)

Also, great even if you are buying NEW jewelry. With the knowledge of the estimated price after you ask for the weight of that shiny new necklace or ring, you have a platform for negotiating.

I tried to sell an old ring I don't wear anymore that weight exactly 2 ounces of 24k yellow gold (worth about $3,400) and the guy at the store offered me $2,000. Hahaha!!! Asked for a REAL offer, and they said they might be able to do $2,200. Asked yet again for a more realistic price closer to market pricing, they offered $2,500 as a maximum price.

When asked why so low, their reply was that they had to make a profit also! I said that if I took their offer of $2k, they would have paid the rent for the month! That's some "profit"! All they did was smiled, shrugged and said "do you want to sell it or not?"

I walked away. Great app!!!!!
