## What is Diabetes Diary?

Diabetes Diary allows diabetics to record glucose readings, insulin doses and carbohydrate intake, supporting both mmol/L and mg/dL units for glucose readings and a fully customisable list of insulin types. As a diabetic myself, I wrote this application to help me monitor my diabetes and view trends over time.

Activity is available to view in a month-by-month history and is presented with an overview of mean glucose reading and daily insulin dose. The same information is also presented in a graph view with the facility to take a capture for future reference.

- mmol/L and mg/dL support with low and high value highlight option
- fully customisable insulin brand list
- carbohydrate intake
- fully customisable 'time of day' tagging with associated start and end times and auto-fill function
- note facility for glucose readings, carb intake and insulin doses
- edit and delete facility
- toggle fast-access to Add New Readings on application start-up
- month-by-month and last seven days history views with mean glucose reading and daily carb intake and insulin dose and email export
- graph view with capture facility
- 'average day' graph view with capture facility

### 4/5 — Great App--Have been Using for years

*2015-10-25, version 2.0.1*

I love this app. I've been using it for years to record my diabetes data. It's been consistently good and simple to use and it makes it easy to share data with my doctor. I just wish I could share with apple Heath.

### 5/5 — Replaced my Palm application

*2015-04-20, version 2.0.1*

This released fixed the touch screen. Thanks Chris for the fix. Still the best Diabetes app out there.

New version has nice interface but is not very sensitive to touch. Have to make several attempts to be able to make entries. Still top of the line app.

Been looking for a replacement for my Palm UTS system. Only thing missing is being able to add a list of meds commonly used by Type II . I use both insulin and oral meds. Program is very easy to use.

### 2/5 — Kinda kludgey

*2014-09-13, version 1.8.7*

It is supposed to receive data from the Insulin Calculator app (same developer) but it doesn't seem to. I'm looking for a different app to replace this one.

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2014-04-28, version 1.8.7*

Nice app. Easy to use. You can export all results and you can send them to doctor. You can even customize time of day and add notes. But please do UI update for iOS 7. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Diabetes Diary

*2013-07-18, version 1.8.7*

I have found this Ap to be easy to use as well as a great way to print out or send my results to the doctor

### 3/5 — Almost there

*2013-01-06, version 1.8.4*

This a great program almost. It is missing the ability to deal with fast and slow acting insulins separately. Also, I need to be able to enter a decimal for the correction factor, such as "3.5" rather than 3 or 4. I would be able to have tighter control that way. Keep up the good work.
Thank you

### 5/5 — Almost perfect

*2012-08-04, version 1.8.2*

After trying numerous apps, this one seems to be the best so far. It is easy to enter data and produce charts and graphs. So far the best app for people like me on more than one kind of insulin. My favorite, most used app!!

### 4/5 — One of the best...but

*2012-01-18, version 1.7.7*

Great app overall. Very quick and easy to enter data; time-of-day is populated based on clock time and this is tied to all entries made at same time many other apps make u select time if day...and for each event even if entered together Would like to see better exporting of data though. App will group events done at one time (BG,carb, ins) onto one line, but this grouping disappears on export to HTML or csv. Also no way to get 24-HR averages report out of the app. Can capture graphs into photos and email which is ok. Biggest problem is can't reach developer for support??? Emailed 4 days ago w/no reply and just sent f/u which came back 'undeliverable'. Bummer! Chris, are you there still? You have done a great job so hoping you will keep up with this app!! Tx

### 2/5 — Missing Critical Pieces for Type 2s

*2011-12-29, version 1.7.7*

I just downloaded this app less than 2 hrs ago (in my search for the easiest & best way to manage my T2 Diabetes and already I'm having problems AND issues; problems with stability (20+ crashes in less than 2 hrs ... as they say on ESPN: "Come On Man!"); issues in the app design ... advanced T2s often take several types of insulin but in the Daily overview you lump all types of insulin together ... BOGUS! I need to know that I took 10 inits of Novolog AND 31 units of Levemir, lumping these together is a little like saying I've got 15 gallons of hydrocarbons in my car instead of 11 gals of gas and 4 gals of oil. 15 doesn't tell me how far my car will go and 41 units of Insulin doesn't tell me anything about what my body is doing.
I'll hold on to this app for a while and check back to see if anything has improved (being retired on a fixed income I have issues with throwing money away) ... but for now I'm going back to using Glucose Buddy for tracking my data, Glucose Companion for showing my BG graphs, and CarbControl for predicting my Carb intake to calculate how much fast insulin I need before each meal ... the search goes on for "One App to Rule Them All."

### 5/5 — What a great app

*2010-12-18, version 1.7.1*

This was exactly what I was looking for. It tracks everyting I need to know. It's easy of use makes it a "must have" for serious traking of your diease. Support questions were quickly answered
