### 3/5 — Not a carb counter. More of a diet tracker

*2022-08-20, version 5.2.4*

Was specifically looking a diabetic carb tracker. Diabetic dietitians teach us to count carbs and not necessarily calories. 1 carb point = 15 grams. This app only tracks in grams and I don’t want to do the math

It also doesn’t allow me to set my daily carb intake. It follows more of a weight loss or body fat reduction formula.

One nice thing is the scan barcode feature but it doesn’t always work. Great Value liquid coffee creamer came up as black coffee no sugar. However searching for it located the proper product.

I’m cancelling my subscription. Not what I was looking for.

### 3/5 — $

*2022-08-08, version 5.2.4*

It’s probably a good app but after filling in a lot of info they require $10. There’s no choice between premium or not like many other apps. Slick. My mother was right, there’s no free, lunch.

### 3/5 — Doesn’t track blood sugar

*2022-05-09, version 5.2.4*

This ap helped me understand that while I was trying to reduce my carb intake, I was eating a large amount of fat. However, the problem I have with is that it is called a diabetes tracker, but it doesn’t have a way to input or track blood sugar. That’s what I am looking for,so this ap isn’t for me.

### 4/5 — Diabetes Meyer sync

*2021-08-09, version 5.2.4*

I like this app. It takes time to get used to it but after you get it, it’s easy. The Diabetic Fittur should really have a blood sugar tracker AND be meter syncing with all meters. Otherwise it doesn’t make sense to call it a diabetes tracker.

### 1/5 — Crashes, lies in its privacy label

*2021-07-28, version 5.2.4*

The first red flag was that the privacy label claims it doesn't collect personal data—this is clearly a lie, because the privacy policy goes into detail in what kind of data they collect and how they store it.

Then I realized it didn't have an option to sync with Apple Health, and I was going to have to enter my exercise manually like a caveman.

But the last straw was when I tried to get details on my fat for the day, and the app crashed.

I've deleted the app and my subscription.

### 1/5 — Won’t let you unsubscribe!!!

*2021-06-14, version 5.2.2*

Can’t unsubscribe!

### 1/5 — Mixed feelings

*2021-05-26, version 5.2.2*

The app is attractive. It calculates calories, fat, carbs, etc. However I can’t figure out how to edit or delete an item once it is entered. I accidentally added last food twice. I also don’t know how to go back and look at what I ate. I am still in my trial but I don’t see a way to cancel the membership before I M billed if I decide not to keep! Admin. Please help!

### 2/5 — Meh

*2021-05-19, version 5.2.2*

All the foods in the lookup are prepared foods, pre-packaged foods. I cook with ingredients. When I couldn’t find “bell pepper” in the lookup, I cancelled my free month. Definitely this app is not focused on healthy whole foods eating. 👎

Plus I kept accidentally deleting things because I’d try to swipe to a new meal period or new day, which felt logical, but that’s not how this app works, so kept jacking it up and deleting stuff ugh.

### 3/5 — Not what I needed

*2021-05-05, version 5.2.0*

Looking for an app to help with my diabetes not weight lost. To in depth for me

### 1/5 — A probably good app

*2021-04-23, version 5.1.7*

Probably well intended presentation, but confusing and over saturated with self promoting advertisement.
The information regarding how to use the app is insufficient over simplified and of no practical benefit.
What is a MACRO, what is a recipe, what is a tracker, how do enter pertinent information in pantry, for a diabetic patient how do you integrate the blood glucose levels with the food intake ( I very familiar with Dexcom 6).
The most plausible explanation is probably this app is not optimized for the iPhone 12
Pro. If so the consumer should be informed.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — There are better apps

*2024-04-14, version 5.2.4*

I was hopeful for this app based on the amount of positive reviews, but it’s not effective for me. There is no way to truly customize what your macros should be, even under the “customize” feature. If you calculate what your macros should be like I did and try to put that in, adjust protein let’s say, then it automatically adjusts the other macros to what it thinks it should be. You’ll never be able to fiddle with it enough to actually get every macro to where it is custom. Above that frustration, with it being an app marketed supposedly to diabetics, why is there not a way to enter and track blood glucose? I though I would give this app a try as I’m always looking to improve, but I’m just going back to Carb Manager.

### 1/5 — Abandoned by developer

*2024-03-30, version 5.2.4*

App does not work with newer iPhones because it hasn’t . It has not been updated in 2 years. The dynamic island overlaps much of the UI on this app. Do not buy.

### 1/5 — I want

*2023-05-10, version 5.2.4*

I want to cancel this free 30 days but cannot find out how to do it. Each direction that I follow leads nowhere. The free trial is soon over and I WANT OUT!

### 1/5 — Never could use

*2023-03-04, version 5.2.4*

Downloaded but i couldn't use it until i selected a purchase plan. So much for 30 day free trial. Wont be using this crappy app

### 1/5 — 30 days free then what?

*2022-09-13, version 5.2.4*

I’m on a very limited budget. I would like to know in advance what kind of expenditure I would be looking at. Is it a one time and how much? Is it monthly or yearly and how much? I refuse to go into something blindly. I really don’t like to have something appear to be “free” when in reality it isn’t. I believe that no matter how good or bad an app is, if it involves a subscription then that information along with prices should be in the information about the app rather than “in app purchases “. Many apps with that notation can be used totally free. I deleted this app the moment I read 30 days free and will not use it because of the unknown subscription.

### 1/5 — No access

*2021-12-21, version 5.2.4*

Signed up, using password, but wouldn’t let me get into the app without face recognition which I don’t have. So…. Had to delete the app

### 1/5 — Stupid

*2021-12-08, version 5.2.4*

I shouldn't have to start a subscription service to try to be healthy. Don't bother

### 1/5 — Not free

*2021-11-30, version 5.2.4*

The only free part is downloading it onto your phone and the app asks a couple of questions then boom, you are sent to look at all they offer for a fee and that’s it. There’s no option to do anything for free. Well there’s the the 7 day trial thing but guess what you have to pay after the trial ends. Not for me, bye Felicia!

### 1/5 — Trial only, not free

*2021-10-15, version 5.2.4*

This is only a free trial for 30 days and is not a free ap. I downloaded without knowing this and immediately deleted when I realized they want you to set up a subscription account.

### 1/5 — Have to buy a monthly plan to use

*2021-09-16, version 5.2.4*

Terrible bait and switch.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app, but..

*2021-10-01, version 5.2.4*

Love the app, but want to sync across my iPhone and iPad. Can’t find any settings that allow me to do this.

### 5/5 — Great

*2021-06-30, version 5.2.3*

This app helps give meInformation that allows me to plan meals better and to get a great view of my eating habits.

### 5/5 — New Weight Watchers

*2021-04-17, version 5.1.2*

I tried doing weight watchers in the past, before all of the free foods, it did work but it wasn’t easy. With this new program, I can incorporate family meals built off of free foods. Plus, there are endless recipes on the app. I LOVE the app. I do not have time to go to meetings, the way the app was designed makes it easy for me to stay strong on the program. I can create and store my own recipes, look for good foods while I’m out, and much more. The only thing I wish I could do again is take a photo of myself when I entered my weight. Maybe I’m just not finding it, but, it used to have the ability to place pics side by side from your past to present weight loss. Other than that, It’s great!

### 5/5 — Near perfect and makes losing weight easy!

*2021-04-17, version 5.1.2*

I don't love apps. They seem to never work correctly. Also, I didn't think Fittur would work either but was failing at eating in a healthy way on my own. So? I joined and downloaded the Fittur app. I've been using it for 6 weeks. I love it!!! It's easy to track points. It's easy to find any food or scan food at the store.

The recipes are amazing and you can edit any item or items in each recipe to make it your own and then save it. For example, a recipe may call for ground turkey and it might be 3 points for that. You can change it to ground turkey 99% fat free and it becomes zero points. See food represented by points makes you want to eat the lower point option and it most cases, that means the healthier option.

The news feed is inspiring and I've never seen a single negative comment in anyone's posts. People on the app are here to help each other. It's like a giant family of people trying to live healthier lives and it seems part of that is to simply be kind to one another.

JOIN Fittur and then download the app. Track your food and weigh yourself weekly. You will succeed!!!

### 5/5 — Fantastic app!

*2021-04-16, version 5.1.2*

Have had this app for years to help with keeping track of what I eat while in training. Latest version is brilliant and makes inputting your foods so simple! I particularly love the barcode scanner. Useful to have a small digital kitchen scales to quickly check food quantities (particularly the first time you input a new food) and a heart rate monitor and tracking device to help occasionally accurately check your calorie burn from exercise. However, that's me bring a perfectionist and even without these it's a brilliant app! Thanks Fittur 😃

### 5/5 — Excellent app - enables user to take control

*2021-04-14, version 5.1.2*

If you are trying to set a daily calorie limit this app is very useful in that it has an enormous bank of branded foods already calorie counted, enables you to create recipes and meals and to copy meals easily to another day. I find that it is most useful to use it to plan the day's meals in advance - or even several days ahead.

### 5/5 — Definitely a great app when losing weight!

*2021-04-13, version 5.1.2*

Loved it! Been using it for one month now and helped me a lot to not only track my calories take in but also balance my diet.

### 5/5 — Why is this app going bad. ??

*2021-04-10, version 5.1.2*

I have had this app for a while now maybe like 2 1/2 years And haven’t had any problems until this year..
I don’t know what has happened but every time I tried to log in my food . It will take so long or even when I have selected the item it won’t show on the main screen. Don’t know why. It has been really slow lately and I just have decided to try another app. I love this app but it’s giving me a lot of trouble lately . So it’s time to try something new.. I hope they can fix it.

### 5/5 — Great, easy to use and effective!

*2021-04-09*

Very easy to use and really helps you think about your calorific intake. I use the barcode scanner all the time and haven't yet found an item that hasn't in their database. I have also synced this with my Fitbit Zip, activity tracker so it also calculates my calories burned etc.
All in all an excellent app!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-03-16, version 5.1.1*

I started losing weight right away with this app! It always helps to keep track of just how much I'm actually eating every day. Going to stick with it!
