I entered an entire meal with individual foods, but when I went to log it, the app only asked for total carbohydrates and didn’t save the foods I had entered. It wasn’t clear whether I had done something wrong or if the app failed to save my data. The iPhone version will not let me actually enter foods, but rather forces me to dictate them. Okay fine I could live with that but it also gives me constant errors because it is taking my insulin precision as the maximum dose and so always warning me that I am taking too much. So frustrating, tried overwriting the logs so many times and it would never save my changes. ### 2/5 — Keeps crashing & no sync to Apple health *2024-10-09, version 9.0.8* Since last update, syncing with Apple health has stopped & when I try to sync manually it crashes. Poor! ### 3/5 — Good but… *2024-10-03, version 9.0.8* The app is good but the text is too small. The colour scheme is hard to read and I’m sick of getting a message saying “HEY!” - have some manners. I feel the app is always moaning and nagging. Diabetics have enough to deal with without feeling bullied by an app. ### 3/5 — Disappointing update *2024-09-10, version 9.0.7* I’ve been using this app for over 2 years and found it excellent to help manage my diabetes. The last update caused a ‘Configuring database’ message for about 30 seconds when opening the app, this update has reduced the wait to about 15 seconds, but now the app hangs and crashes when saving new records. Shame we can’t just roll back to 2 months ago when the app was stable. ### 2/5 — Each update makes it worst *2024-09-03, version 9.0.7* Every time a new update comes out the lag between screens is longer. After this update, there’s at least one second wait time between inputing the glucose level / carbs and getting the bolus calculation done. It can’t be processing time as it used to be near instant with similar results. Now, it’s lengthy process to get this done and then save it (another long lag) before it’s confirmed. Now keeps asking for the emailed code even when I enter it !!!! Now there is an error message saying I am not logged in when I am. There seems no way to report it or get help. One link I found said the website was spam. Very unfortunate. This is a premium feature only - no trial to see if it is useful. It worked once for me. After that, it would only work when forgetting the device and adding again. There are apps out there that have an abundance of “pretty” images but really don’t tell you much of anything. I work/live in a busy world (don’t we all) and need a tracking app that keeps up, Diabetes:M fits the bill! This has everything I need and so much more! They all track your readings with a logbook but this is where Diabetes:M pulls away from the others. This app tracks my glucose level, and my insulin injections BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE! It also allows for EASY tracking of which finger (and where on finger) I used to draw AND where I’ve given myself an infection. I use fast acting insulin during the day and a slow acting at night, this app tracks the injection locations separately! Let my backup for a second - sometimes when I go to do a finger stick, I forget which finger I used last (I’m sure that’s a me thing because I’m crazy busy and once done with something I move on to something else) but the finger tracking inside this app resolves this issue. Med tracking, graphs and charts let you check your trends, share with care team, etc. It would be easy for me to go on and on because this app does so much! It does what I described and SO MUCH MORE!!! All at, what to me is, a reasonable price!! ### 5/5 — Diabetes M app *2022-08-19, version 9.0.0* I found this difficult to set up and understand. I ended up with 2 phone calls to diabetic nurses, 2 trips to hospital dietitian, 3 phone calls with dietitian, 2 calls and 2 emails with sales representative.
