Amazing Simple App

Love the style of the app inspired by Apple and very simple great functionality

The best espresso journal out there.

Used this app from the first day it was released. I was briefly disappointed with the switch to subscription service, but a lifetime purchase was beyond welcome! Reason being, this is the best espresso journal out there. I’ve tried so many, and none come close in function and features. And every update only makes it better. This is a must have for anyone doing at-home espresso. Don’t bother with any other app. This is the one.

Response from developer

Hello Joel, I'm very happy to hear you liked the app - it truly means a lot to me. I put a lot of thought into designing it. I agree the pricing may not have felt ideal when it first launched. Based on feedback like yours, I recently added a one-time lifetime purchase option in the latest release. As an indie developer, I also need to put food on the table and support my family. That’s why it’s hard for developers to sustain their work without charging — we’re human too. :) If you have any other feedback, please let me know. You can find my email address in the app. I’m open to all suggestions, especially the constructive ones like yours. Grace

Wonderful app. Simple and easy to use.

The best thing about this app is its simplicity and user friendliness. The other apps have too just way too many variables and complexity. The apps try to be everything at once - which is ok for those who want that. However if you just want to dial in a simple espresso this is perfect.

I have 2 suggestions though:

Firstly I would appreciate if there was the option to add espresso machine. Just like there is an option to add grinder. As just like people have multiple grinders, they can also have multiple espresso machines. Currently I put in the espresso machine in a text field called Dosing Method - which also does the job.

Secondly I wish there was sign in/user account functionality. My wife and I both are coffee enthusiasts and would really like if we had the ability to have a shared coffee log. User account functionality would allow us to do that.

Unnecessary Subscription

I was so excited for this app when first released. The first few weeks were so good. Then a quiet update to limit features and charge a subscription killed any interest I had. A one-time charge to support the dev, happy to do so! But I refuse to subscribe to an espresso shot journal.
