## What is Dialler?

Dialler is a softphone for your organisation's onpremises SIP extensions on iPhone. Incoming calls wake the device when the app is in the background or closed, and ring on the standard iOS call screen.

A DIALLER CALL SERVER IS REQUIRED
Dialler connects to the Dialler server that your organisation runs between its SIP PBX and its phones. The app cannot make or receive calls without one. Your administrator installs the server, adds your phone in the web console, and provides a QR code or enrolment code to complete set-up.

HOW IT WORKS
The PBX routes incoming calls to the Dialler server. The server wakes the phone through Apple’s Local Push Connectivity, and iOS presents the incoming call. When you answer, the app connects and the server bridges the call to the PBX. Phones receive calls only on the Wi-Fi networks assigned to them in the console.

IN THE APP
Incoming calls when the app is open, in the background, or closed
Outgoing calls from the keypad, directory, or recents
Hold, transfer, mute, speaker, and keypad during a call
A per-phone directory set by the administrator and editable on the device, with favourites
Set-up by scanning a QR code or entering an enrolment code

FOR ADMINISTRATORS
Compatible with Asterisk, Cisco CUCM, and other SIP PBXs, as a SIP trunk or as one registered line per phone
Two server programmes, typically on one machine: dialler-server for calls and wake-ups, and dialler-admin for the web console
The console adds phones, issues single-use enrolment codes that expire after 15 minutes, configures each phone’s Wi-Fi networks and directory, revokes or replaces phones, and shows phones online, PBX registration, and calls in progress
Directories can be imported from CSV
TLS signalling and SRTP audio; G.722 and G.711

REQUIREMENTS
iOS 17 or later
A SIP PBX
A Dialler server reachable from the phones’ Wi-Fi networks

TRY IT WITHOUT A SERVER
Tap Enter Code Manually, leave Server empty, and enter the code DEMODEMO. The demo includes a sample line and directory. Calls are simulated on the phone and play your voice back as an echo test.

Your organisation’s administrator provides the server and configures your phone.
