## What is Diccionario del estudiante?

El «Diccionario del estudiante» recoge el léxico general, actual y documentado de España y América.

Está dirigido en especial a estudiantes de enseñanza secundaria y bachillerato, pero se adapta igualmente  a las necesidades de los estudiantes de español como lengua extranjera y de los que desean acceder a un diccionario que incluya el vocabulario fundamental de la lengua española.

Recoge además los americanismos más usuales, documentados al menos en dos países, una nutrida selección de voces científicas, técnicas y de otras actividades y áreas del saber, y las abreviaturas y siglas más usuales del español.

El Diccionario es especialmente rico en ejemplos de uso, que ilustran las construcciones y combinaciones más características, y en contenidos complementarios, también gramaticales.

Proporciona la información sobre las conjugaciones verbales, la lista de los numerales y los principales sinónimos y palabras afines de sustantivos, adjetivos y verbos.

Todo ello presentado en un formato moderno y nuevo, donde aparecen claramente destacados los distintos contenidos del Diccionario.

Entre las múltiples posibilidades de búsqueda y funcionalidades destacan las siguientes:

Hace varios meses que la aplicación dejó de trabajar. La aplicación da un mensaje de error que no se puede conectar al servidor. Era un diccionario muy efectivo y lo usaba a diario. Muchos usuarios dicen lo mismo en sus críticas. Espero que la academia Española arregle este problema.

It was a great dictionary that always gave examples with the definitions. For about a month now, it says unable to connect with the server when I try to use it. I hope the issue is fixed because it’s a very useful dictionary.

It’s a good dictionary for students, but it has stopped working. I have downloaded it again, but it still doesn’t work. I contacted support and I haven’t heard from them. I’m deeply disappointed.

This app essentially just brings RAE’s student dictionary to mobile. It has a few bugs, but the definitions are so superb that I’m giving it 5 stars anyway just for visibility. I’m beyond the level of translating everything to English, but the definitions in RAE’s main dictionary can be a bit too complex OR too simple at times, assuming native speaker comfort. For those learning Spanish as an L2 who still need to look up words but don’t want to rely on approximate English translations, this app is for you.

For developer improvement:
- The bug that I notice most is when you search a bunch of terms one after the other, eventually the text starts stacking and shifting. It is fixed by reloading the app, but this is a bug that I feel should be prioritized by the developers since it’s a very annoying one.
- I would like to be able to tap on any word that is used within another definition and be redirected to the corresponding definition. Right now, if a definition cross-references word, you have to type the other word in the search box.

Beautiful and readable interface with very helpful tips about conjugation, irregular and phrasal verbs, use cases and specific expressions. A must-have… can’t believe they offer it for free! No updates in four years but please keep up this wonderful app!

Por favor, añadir la función de “tocar una palabra y ver su significado” cuando ya has buscado algo y te sale otra palabra desconocida en la explicación (el DRAE ya lo tiene). 

No estaría mal si se ampliase algo más tanto el número de las palabras como el número de las acepciones. // O, en su lugar, añadir ejemplos al DRAE para que sea un diccionario completo en todos los sentidos. 

El hecho de que este diccionario tenga ejemplos (a diferencia del DRAE) es muy importante y ayuda a estudiantes, sobre todo extranjeros, a contextualizar las palabras y asimilar mejor su significado.

Está utila pa’ aprender español, pero muchas veces no conosco las palabras en el significado.  Esperaba q pudiera tocar palabras pa’ ir al significado como es en la otra app.  Siempre tengo q copiarla y pegarlo como busqueda.  Daria cinco estrellas si añadaras eso.
