### 3/5 — Tutorial Text

*2023-04-18*

The first time you use it, there’s some obligatory tutorial text that takes up the entire middle of the screen and it took me forever to figure out how to get rid of it. You have to go into the options menu to get rid of it. That’s stupid. Why is there not just an X in the upper right corner to get rid of it?

Also, where’s the 3.5 option? They got versions 3 and 4, but not 3.5?

### 2/5 — Update needed

*2022-05-08, version 1.8.0*

App no longer holds onto characters added and will not change dice sets.

### 2/5 — Hard to use but looks good

*2020-06-14, version 1.8.0*

It looks nice but basic functions are impossible. For example adding more dice (more types of throws) seems impossible. It is very easy to add sparkle to your dice, just impossible to add another preset throw. If more work was put into basic functionality it would be an awesome app.

### 4/5 — Aesthetically Pleasing and FunctionaL

*2020-04-08, version 1.8.0*

Dice&Dragons is visually rich and satisfying both in the layOut and in the motion of the dice. Once I figured out how to access my new dice it’s been great! The sound options for the dice roLLs are fun as weLL. Love to see (hear) more of them.
Thanks!

### 3/5 — No point

*2020-01-14, version 1.8.0*

This game has absolutely no point it’s just roll dice with attack and damage it’s absolutely butt good thing tho

### 4/5 — One change needed ...

*2019-10-23*

I use my apps in split screen mode, but this app only works in full screen. It would be extremely helpful if you could incorporate this change in the near future. It’s a great app otherwise!

One other concern ... I made purchases on the iPad version, but I don’t have those purchases available on my iPhone. Is there something I need to do to fix this, or ... ?

**Developer response:** Hello! I'll add the split screen request to my list, I'll need to look into that to see what is needed. For the purchases, you SHOULD be able to use them on both. Hit the feedback button and reach out to me and we'll work through it and get you set up.

### 3/5 — Please update!

*2019-10-10, version 1.8.0*

5 stars, but three for now since it desperately needs to be updated. Restore purchases does not work. Incredible app, but is desperate for some updating, as last update was TWO YEARS AGO.

### 4/5 — Handy, if low-res

*2019-08-25, version 1.8.0*

Very clever system for D&D, makes action rolls easy for a character.

Would be cool if it supported other RPG systems, like # of successes, where a success is => target number.

The graphics are weirdly low-res, seems like they are not designed for modern retina screens or something.

### 4/5 — pretty awesome

*2019-08-21, version 1.8.0*

This has it all except one minor thing. This cant be used in landscape mode? Why??

### 4/5 — Should add a computer 1v1 mode

*2019-08-10, version 1.8.0*

It is a pretty cool game with a nice dice simulation. I recon you should put a mode in were you can verse a cpu.

### 5/5 — Absolutely love!

*2019-05-30, version 1.8.0*

I love the physics and all the different types of dice! A lot of love has gone into this app and it shows! The d2 die is great! I'm getting the stained glass set next. What a great idea. Every time I use the app, it seems to have new features. A great app for any RPG or board game enthusiast.

### 5/5 — Love this app! More dice designs please?

*2019-05-17*

I love this dice roller feels very realistic and makes showing your rolls to online dms a breeze (with proper device functions of course) and love the vivid designs and colors of the various sets currently available. Though I would really love more dice options wanna have even more dice to play with also some special dice like d30s, Body hit die, and I’m sure there are others to ^_^ thanks for this app 😍

**Developer response:** So glad you enjoy it!
I'm got some plans for a few new designs, but freetime in my life is limited at the moment. If you have any specific styles or ideas you want me to look into making, hit the feedback button and let me know!

### 5/5 — GREAT DICE APP!

*2019-05-12, version 1.8.0*

Using this for DnD. This app lets you combine dice on a roll (your 20 for attack and your dmg dice), add your mods, and save them as combos for 1 touch rolling. Takes a couple minutes to set each up but SAVES so much time overall. I had a question and the developer emailed back super fast. Highly recommended!

### 3/5 — Can't restore purchase

*2019-03-04, version 1.8.0*

I'm not sure if I bought dice or not it's been several years. They should have pop up saying done or perhaps nothing bought.....it's frustrating because I have to go to settings to manually turn on when I want to buy not normally a problem unless like this app it does not work first time

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Tutorials in the way

*2020-03-31, version 1.8.0*

Get rid of the tutorials or give a way to close them.

### 1/5 — Don' t download this game

*2020-02-02, version 1.8.0*

You see the dice on the tittle you have to buy them for 00.90 and I bought a pack and then it said buy and it bought it but did not show me anything then it said buy again AND IT BOUGHT IT AGAIN. NOW I HAVE 2 and I don't even have them and I don't even know how to play. Then I hit restore pertussis and it said would you like to buy this. I'm telling you guys NO

### 1/5 — Not usable

*2019-11-29, version 1.8.0*

Your app is not useable with iOS voiceover. Please make your app accessible.

### 1/5 — ...

*2019-06-30, version 1.8.0*

I’m sorry but it’s not easy to use. Tutorials are popping up and I can’t remove them. The rolling options are just confusing. It should be pretty simple to just select the dice you want to roll, with quantity, and just roll... I’m downloading a different app. Keep my 99 cents for the “special” black die I purchased that I don’t know how to use.

### 1/5 — Stupid

*2019-06-01, version 1.8.0*

How do you play?

### 1/5 — Useless

*2019-04-18, version 1.8.0*

It’s billed as a dice roller it’s actually just a hit and damage roller. No help at all!

### 1/5 — It took about a minute for me to delete this app.

*2018-10-09, version 1.8.0*

Why does a dice app force you to take a tutorial?

It asks you to buy dice before you can start rolling - so don’t pretend this is a free app.

I only rated it one star because it wouldn’t let me rate zero.

### 1/5 — Can't even open it

*2018-08-23, version 1.8.0*

This is the second time I installed this dice roller. I open the app, a splash screen with a help info pops up having a big red X on a corner, tap on it and nothing happens, slide, scroll, tap, even called my kid for help and nothing.

### 1/5 — Not what I expected

*2018-08-18, version 1.8.0*

I use dice in my classroom to teach various lessons and I am looking for a multi sided dice app and I thought I had found it but I was wrong. I had to create a character and I cannot get rid of the “tutorial” nor can I get it to stop adding up the dice.

### 1/5 — Not a true dice roller

*2018-08-11, version 1.8.0*

This is not a true random number generator the dice do not fall random they fall in a similar pattern every time you roll rolled max fall damage with this 5 times all results on the face of the dice was 1,2,3 all five times without fail. Get a better dice roller

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best Rolling Dice App Ever

*2022-01-17, version 1.8.0*

These app is awesome and it’s really hard to believe it was developed by 1 person. The aesthetic is great. I also love the sound effects. So fun during a game.

### 5/5 — I love the app

*2021-04-28, version 1.8.0*

I honestly love this app. Funny story: just now I was rolling as many dice as there were numbers on each die (4d4, 6d6, etc.) and I wasn’t clearing them on each roll, and when I got to the percentage die, the app crashed at about 75-76. Lol

### 5/5 — The app is nice

*2020-12-14*

A bit more complicated than I needed but the developer is nice. My main feedback would be that the tutorial should be easier to dismiss if you’re a learn by doing type.

**Developer response:** Sorry its not working out for you! Dice and dragons is really meant for people that want to build their characters attacks and stats into the app to make play faster.

If you don't want to use those features, you don't need to. And you are able to disable the tutorial in the options menu.
Feel free to hit the feedback button to send me an email if I can help more.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2020-10-21, version 1.8.0*

Exactly what you need to get a game of D&D going!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2020-03-12*

I love using the app but so far haven’t used it yet. In my opinion I think it’s good. I got confused at first but I now know how to use the mechanics. But I just want to know if you can make more solid color dice sets since we only have to choice of using only red, white, and green. Or even better make free animated ones!

### 5/5 — Best dice app I’ve found to date

*2019-12-21, version 1.8.0*

I have tried a lot of different dice apps and so far this is the best one I’ve come across. I am involved in heavy story based gaming and the ability to set up different characters is perfect for me. I also am glad that the different dice sets aren’t outrageously priced like some of the other roller apps. My one problem is that I haven’t found it on the Android store.

### 5/5 — Super helpful!

*2019-11-12, version 1.8.0*

Great app! Very helpful and keeps combat flowing, only critique is I wish there were more dice combo effects

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-10-17, version 1.8.0*

App is great. Cool dice options. But it was the Great customer service that brought me to write a review. Being old and technically dumb, I couldn’t figure out how to get the tutorial to go away so I reported the problem. I didn’t even have to wait a minute before Micah responded.

Thanks Micah

### 5/5 — Averages please!

*2019-09-23, version 1.8.0*

The only way to improve this app would be to add a list average attack and average damage per named attack for each character. That would be REALLY useful! Good work!

### 5/5 — Make a realistic cup shaker for d&d Dice

*2019-07-03, version 1.8.0*

What if be better if we normally shake the dice in a Cup but in a phone of this app itself, what that be possible for a shake mode to shake the selected dice so it’s feels realistic than tapping on it that be awesome Devs
