Dice Creator enables you to create and manage every type of dice, for virtually all board games; not only the classic, 6-sided dice, but also the special ones needed in race simulation, fantasy adventure or war campaign. You can build new dice choosing shape (from 4-sided to 30-sided), color, and specific numeric values for each side. Dice can be grouped as you like, allowing you to keep different sets available, specific for each game. Dice throwing is simulated on a virtual table, with a simple, effective 3D visualization; you can throw them moving the device as you're accustomed with real dice. You can basically simulate any type of special dice that you want. The problem is that I’m not sure how random it is. I don’t know how this app goes about generating random numbers, but it seems to do some incredibly improbable things, like rolling the same number over and over again about eight times in a row on a custom d18, or going back and forth between the same two numbers about 20 times on said dice. It almost seems to have some sort of physics engine involved in determining how the dice roll, depending on the angle and placement of your phone. That would be a really bad thing, if that were the case, because it wouldn’t be random if you were holding your phone just so. I’d say this could be a really great app if they can find a way to ensure that the numbers are properly randomized. ### 1/5 — Deceptive description *2015-12-29* Unable to edit die face unless another app is purchased. ### 5/5 — My absolute favorite app *2013-06-29* The usefulness and ingenuity of this app amazes me.
