### 1/5 — Login

*2020-04-16, version 3.0.0*

How do I get a login?

### 1/5 — Keeps requiring Login to be re-entered

*2019-08-03, version 2.5.0*

Ever since the update it stops uploading dictation requiring LOGIN to be re-entered

### 1/5 — Corrupted dictation and not usable with iphone xs max

*2019-01-12, version 2.4.1*

Worked ok with previous iphones, but still you loose the odd one and you cant recover it. There should be a way where dictations are actually saved somewhere for recovery.
Most importantly if the app is open on an iphone xs max and then it autolocks, you cant go back to the app as it keeps locking and unlocking and then you have to switch off the whole phone to get again to the app. Needs a quick fix. The issue here is probably face recognition, the app should be compatible with it.

### 1/5 — Don’t use with iPhone 10 til they’ve fixed app

*2018-11-02, version 2.4.0*

I’ve been using the DICT8Mobile app for months on my iPhone 8 with no problem. Now upgraded to a 10 and it’s hopeless. Really annoyingly it lets me dictate but when I try to go back to a draft it tells me the audio file is corrupted, can’t be opened and will be deleted. I’m having to repeat dictate numerous letters. Also when I try to login it expects me to do it 5 times before I actually get logged in.
Have tried deleting app and reinstalling but no help. Have had to resort back to using a dictaphone - very frustrating!

### 1/5 — Dr

*2016-11-08, version 2.2.1*

Letters upload > 2 hours! Unclear if work lost!!

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing. Lost work.

*2016-11-05, version 2.2.1*

Not happy.

### 2/5 — Ability to edit after upload

*2020-12-11, version 3.0.5*

Works, and a good improvement over tape based dictation. Frustrating not to be able to edit priority, ID or clinic information after upload however, these seem like key features which are currently missing. Hopefully they will be added in a future update.

### 2/5 — Not a good day for DICT8

*2018-10-21, version 2.4.0*

Usually efficient, unsettling that DICT8 system has its faults. My last 5 min task has taken over 4 days & still ‘being transcribed’ .. Here’s hoping

### 5/5 — Dictation from home

*2020-04-15*

I have used the DICT8 service for several years now and been very happy with the speed and accuracy of the typing.

I have also used the mobile app so that I don’t have to use a dictation machine. Recently I have been doing my lists by phone from outside of the hospital and this app has made that process far easier.

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very useful dictation system

*2018-11-30, version 2.4.1*

My first try using a dictation software for my clinical reports and I am really pleased! The transcriptions are sent back very rapidly and there are generally little changes to make despite my strong foreign accent.

### 5/5 — Saved money

*2017-06-27, version 2.2.1*

I prefer using this App as I can dictate letters on the go and as the DICT8 service is so quick I have a fast turnaround of the work!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2014-03-06, version 1.2.3*

If you use Dict8, then this is a no brainer. Just like having a digital dictation machine with you all the time.

### 5/5 — Dictation on my mobile

*2013-01-22, version 1.0*

I work in community paediatrics and getting my dictation machine back to my secretary at the end of each day was proving to be an issue. Whilst I have been a customer of DICT8's medical transcription service for a while now (and have been very happy with their typing service), I have always felt that the lack of a mobile app was a problem. I told them about this a few times, and it looks like they have been listening to me.

The app itself is straightforward and will upload dictations as soon as they are recorded. It doesn't let you look at you finished transcriptions- but the iPhone screen is not really right for that anyway, and I can use safari if I am really desperate.
