A work colleague advised me to download the “Dictate” app in a new temporary job but did not specify which version. 

I downloaded the “Lite” version without reading the full description and wasted a large amount of time trying to troubleshoot why I couldn’t record more than 30 seconds- eventually I found the explanation in a “Note” somewhere. 

i had to download the paid version at $26.99 AUD to dictate a small number of letters - the paid app looks pretty good, and is used regularly by my current temporary. I would have liked to know that I had to have the full version from the outset. The “Lite” app is no more than a demo.

In Gratisversion als Diktatprogramm mit 30 Sekunden nicht wirklich brauchbar. Vollversionfunktionen wohl gut.

I'm not sure why people are complaining about it only recording 30 seconds. It says quite clearly that the free app has this restriction. Anyway, I wanted to try before buying but the recordings are clipped. Sentences run into each other possibly due to the voice activation but making some things incomprehensible. The controls are simple but the app itself is not very intuitive. I should have realised when the marketing copy was saying how much better it is than using a dictaphone with tapes. Seriously, do people still use those? No way I would spend money on this.

Ich habe einige Diktierapps getestet und bei dieser hier ist die Steuerung und das Handling wirklich gut gelöst. Nur leider ist die App nicht wirklich mit unserer Transkriptionssoftware SpeechExec von Philips kompatibel. Denn die kann weder .mp4 noch WAV IMA4 verarbeiten, sondern nur .dss, .mp3 und normales .wav. Unkomprimiertes WAV ist jedoch viel zu groß. Würde diese App .mp3 oder gar .dss unterstützen, würde ich sofort die Vollversion kaufen. Schade.

Finde diese App gut gelungen, bleibe jedoch bei meinem Favoriten „Recordium“, weil es dort für mich noch mehr Extras gibt.

Da würde an alles gedacht: Aufnahme über einen Bluetooth Knopf starten um die Hände frei zu haben, pause bei Stille, beschleunigtes Abhören der vorigen Aufnahmen, sogar Lesezeichen setzen.
Lässt sich auch prima bedienen.
Die ca.15€ wird's wohl wert sein

It crashes when I try to play a file 2 out of 3 times. I'd like to see the  UI function as a single page, rather than pop-ups. Rec .. Play .. Rewind .. DEL. on a single page without endless <clicks>.

dictate + connect gekauft und gelegentlich verwendet. Nun stürzt es auf meinem neuen iPad permanent ab. Und was lese ich, es sei im Ruhestand. Es wird auf die Homepage verwiesen. Und auf der Homepage sieht man genau diese App, so wie sie bei mir auch immer aussah. 
Es geht euch also nur darum, noch einmal abzukassieren. Das ist abzocke! Auf keinen Fall werde ich noch einmal bezahlen.

Nicht mehr nach Update auf 14.6 zu gebrauchen. Absicht? Man müsste nun neu das nächste Programm der Entwickler kaufen - sehr trauriges Geschäftsgebaren.

Unterstützt keine iPhones neuer als 4 Jahre. Leider. War eine tolle app, aber mittlerweile ist die App nicht mehr ohne Abstürzte benutzbar und ist extrem langsam. Der Support reagiert nicht mehr und die Hotline ist nicht mehr geschaltet. Ich empfehle DICTAPHONE.

This is so typical of developers! There appears to be a move to test a person's patience beyond endurance and is often the reason I delete software and never buy... STOP LIMITING FEATURES, or, at least, stop limiting the use of the software to the point where one can not truly test/trial the app/software. Why not limit the total recording time to say, 3 minutes (that means either 1 dictation of 3 minutes or, say, 3 dictations of 1 minute each, etc.). That way, I can at least give a good chunk of dictation to my voice recognition software and see that it will accept it all. At the price of the full blown app I would want to know this is going to work... or is the developer trying to hide something!?

Seul crésus serais prêt à payer 15 € pour une application pour enregistrer des mémos vocaux que d'autres le font pour 89 centimes, voir même certaine gratuite de promotion très souvent alors dites-moi pour quelle raison Liège payer 15 € pour une application sans aucun intérêt particulier de différence à d'autres je comprendrais qu'elle soit à la rigueur à 1,79 € je pourrais comprendre ou 2€ De plus j'ai vu d'autres marques avec la même application et les mêmes fonctions au même prix soleil dire que vous essayez partout les moyens de la vendre ou plutôt de nous soutirer le maximum d'argent il faut mieux vendre 1 million d'adaptation à 1,80 €=1,8 million € que 10 milles  a 15€= 150 000 € chercher l'erreur vous n'avez pas l'air très intelligent ou futé

This app is accessible and easy to use with VoiceOver. However, double tapping the play button doesn't play your dictation, instead, it gets stuck. Could you please fix it?

We have been using the paid version and it's been working well. Use ftp with ssl to comply with HIPAA.  It doesn't support tls session resume, but hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Kann nicht verstehen warum diese geniale App nicht viel mehr Beachtung findet. Wer jemals mit Tonaufnahmen gearbeitet hat und dieses Programm noch nicht kennt, wird beeindruckt sein. Der für mich größte Vorteil besteht in Einstellbaren Rückspzlzeit und der Möglichkeit eine Fusstaste anzuschließen.  Das nachträgliche Einfügen und Löschen funktioniert ausserden zuperübersichtlich.

Sehr leistungsstarkes Diktiergerät. Sehr viele Einstellungen, besonders Datei- und Qualitätseinstellungen, so wie die Direktmailfunktion machen einen einfachen Workflow möglich.
Schade dass die Vollversion kein Schnäppchen ist. Sie ist aber sicher das Geld Wert.
