Not able to continue playing after a “cataclysm”. ### 3/5 — Decent game *2023-07-13, version 1.0.11* The game is strategic and slightly challenging, while still being interesting. It has basic mechanics and a couple extras without being too overwhelming. 😃*There are not very many ads!* 😃 There are only ads after you have finished the whole round, and they tend to be short. The tiny ad bar at the bottom is not disruptive, and it only costs .99 to remove ads. However, if you aren’t bothered by an ad here and there, then it won’t be very much of a problem. It does have multiple glitches, which I’d like to point out- 1, The Tutorial guy. Whenever you go to answer a question, he pops up, saying “now resolve the problem with the appropriate faction…” even after the tutorial is over. It can get annoying after a while. 2. Making money. In the game, the money generator is hilariously slow at earning money, to the point where it doesn’t really do much at all. Money is a scare resource in the game, so that doesn’t really help. 3. When you make decisions, the police tend to be very finicky, even about things that do not affect them at all. (Example: I decide to allow clapping at concerts to remain legal. The police lose 3 points. Why?) But despite these little things, I do enjoy this game. Recommend! ***Note: there is a second version of the game now. Go check that out. They probably fixed the bugs I mentioned and added and more. Thanks for reading!*** ### 4/5 — Bags *2023-04-03, version 1.0.11* Please fix bags ### 4/5 — Good potential, but poor execution *2023-01-27, version 1.0.11* It is way too complicated to explain entirely, so I’ll make a pros and cons list. Pros: • I really like the concept: a dictator ruling a democratic republic, having to appease factions while also not appeasing them too much. • Even with the simplistic nature of these mobile games, it has a significant amount of detail. • I especially like the part where there’s a giant statue in your image, and people are bowing down to that statue out of respect and awe. • Much of the reactions from the factions are accurate and even realistic to a large extent. • Even without the game features, just the concept of it is so well-made and interesting. However, there are many cons as well: • There is the “now resolve the problem” guy constantly repeating the same message over and over again, even after the tutorial is done. It can get extremely annoying. • Money is quite scarce, and it’s very difficult having enough money unless you spam-appease a lot of the factions enough to get money. • Speaking of which, the bank (where you can collect money from), and the money generator generates so little money, it’s almost entirely useless. There are some rare glitchy moments where I get way more money from the bank than I’m supposed to, but they’re extremely rare. • Some of the reactions from some of the factions are buggy and nonsensical. • There is no “save button”. • A lot of glitches sometimes as well There’s a lot of both pros and cons, way too much for me to mention all of them. But you get my point. The game’s concept, and many of its components, are very interesting and well-made. It’s how the concept was executed that is the issue, it seems some parts were rushed or not well-done. I really want to give a 5-star review, because of the game’s potential, the great concept, and some of the amazing features. I really want this game to succeed. However, with its many glitches and problems, I unfortunately cannot. I hope in the near future, problems are fixed, and this game is improved for the better. ### 3/5 — Game is Brocken *2022-11-20, version 1.0.11* Great addictive game until you reach higher levels. Happened to me twice. Once I reach around 140 points, it takes me to the treasury and I am unable to exit. Was also a bit too simple in execution, like it should have had more complication. Certain animations associated with beginner orientation would simply repeat every turn, which was a bit annoying. But it’s objectively worse than the old version. However I can never get far enough in the game, it’s too easy to lose when you constantly need money. Either the game needs to start you off with more money, the money upgrade should be cheaper, or consequences shouldn’t be as expensive. Also there’s a glitch that keeps coming up every time I’m about to make a decision, the tutorial guy keeps telling me what to do, so that needs to be fixed. ### 3/5 — Now resolve the problem simulator *2020-12-04, version 1.0.11* Fun except the helper dude. I don’t know what wise guy thought it would be fun for it to give you the same instructions every time you make a move in the game that you have to skip but it’s annoying!!! ### 3/5 — It’s Gone Downhill... *2020-11-08, version 1.0.11* This game used to be great. I paid to get rid of the ads and had a lot of fun with it. Since then, they’ve updated the graphics to be more realistic (not a great decision in my opinion but fair enough) and then put a million ads on it and won’t restore my purchase. I tried deleting it and redownloading to see if that would help but instead it’s broken the tutorial that now never goes away. Disappointing as this game used to be perfect around 2017. Fix it please!!! ### 4/5 — A great game, I just have one problem *2020-07-10, version 1.0.11* This is a really fun game and I love it, however, I have this really annoying bug where the helper dude keeps popping up and telling me to “solve the issue with this faction but rememberer your choice affects this faction and other factions” it pops up when I click on a faction to see even though the tutorial is over. But other than that I have no other issues. Decision Making Results Make No Sense. *2019-05-07, version 1.0.11* I’ve been playing this game for almost a year now. It was fun for a while, but slowly became annoying. First of all, I hate how taking your turn costs money. Like, I know it’s supposed to be a strategy game, but seriously? I mean, are you kidding? I’ve gone bankrupt in 4 turns. AFTER buying. No lie. Make the per turn cost 20 dollars, OR DON’T HAVE ONE. Your own earnings are too little, and the small amount you get from the praise and stuff is pathetic. You spend all of it when it comes to the conspiracies anyway. Second of all, as I said in the title, the decision making results make 0 sense. Say you prevent the mafia from taking over businesses. Why should the common man, opposition, and oligarchies be mad? They are the ones who it affects. This makes the game nigh unplayable. Or why should stricter security screenings make the police and army mad. Occasionally the ups and downs are random. It’s kind of annoying how no faction can stay neutral. Why should the mafia, army, opposition and oligarchies care if I give the cops more donuts? You have to do what one faction wants, and I get that’s the point, but make it logical. Why would the police be mad about me cracking down on crime? Why would the police be happy i let the Mafia steal their cars? It’s so annoying to think you made a good decision, only to find out the faction you wanted to benefit seemed to like something being against them. And the conspiracies are worse. Sometimes you need to pick between two decisions that would be considered conspiracies against you, and the one that costs money is the one that makes the crowd happy. Like what? Me raising an army general’s salary because he was incompetent makes everyone happy, but firing him doesn’t? It’s so stupid, and as I said, YOU DON’T HAVE THE MONEY BECAUSE OF THE COST PER TURN. All in all, if the developer made the decisions more logical, and made the cost per turn a LOT less, then I would play it, and love it because the concept is wonderful. ### 1/5 — Bug *2019-04-07, version 1.0.11* There is a bug where I cannot leave the treasury screen and I have to restart all the progress I’ve made please fix ### 1/5 — Take off App Store!!! *2019-02-18, version 1.0.11* I was playing this game and really liked the concept but my phone completely crashed while playing it literally went completely black and I had to google how to get my phone back working it’s horrendous!
