For many years, language learners have trusted our PONS dictionaries. With the PONS app on your smartphone or tablet, you can find the right translation quickly and at any time. The PONS dictionary library works 100% offline. Select the dictionary library for your app! Find the dictionary to suit your individual situation: If you are going away on holiday and want to just quickly look up a word or two, then the BASIS dictionary is the right choice for you. If you feel safer with a range of medium-sized vocabulary then choose the CONCISE or ADVANCED dictionary. If you write foreign-language texts professionally, then you probably need a more comprehensive dictionary, such as BUSINESS or PREMIUM. Maybe the search would be too slow otherwise, okay, but then one must still tell the app what language one is inputting. In other words, one has to poke around in the interface twice before one can actually enter a word for look-up. Surely we can expect better by this time. ### 1/5 — Konnte App nicht nutzen, als Apple Server nicht erreichbar waren! *2025-10-23* Gestern war der Apple App Store während einiger Stunden nicht erreichbar (keine Verbindung möglich). Währenddessen konnte ich diese App nicht nutzen. Sie wurde geöffnet und stürzte immer sofort ab. Ich habe iCloud Sync der Vokabelkarten usw. aktiviert. Heute ist der App Store wieder erreichbar und die App funktioniert auch wieder. Bitte sorgen Sie doch dafür, dass die App auch funktioniert, wenn die Verbindung zu Apple/iCloud nicht möglich ist. Support reagiert nicht. Zudem ist die neue App teurer, bietet aber weniger Funktionen (z. B. keine Textsuche). Das hat nichts mehr mit dem guten PONS von früher zu tun. Byłoby super gdyby dopuszczono instalację słownika na macOS. Wenn ich für die Eingabe die Diktierfunktion benutze, stürzt die App beharrlich ab. So bleibt zwar noch die Eingabe per tippen, was bei polnischen Vokabeln oft schwer fällt.
