## What is Dictionary of Nautical Terms?

This app provides a dictionary of nautical terms. 

The dictionary defines common and not-so-common nautical words and sea terms, and some which, though now obsolete, appear regularly in contemporary books and still enrich the English language. As well as de facto terms dealing with every aspect of ships and the sea - warships, merchant vessels, small craft, seamanship, navigation, weather, naval design, construction and fittings. 

First published in 1867, The Sailor’s Word-Book defines some nautical terms from A, “the highest class of merchant ships,” to zumbra, “a Spanish skiff or yawl.” Whether the reader is a naval history buff, a fan of nautical fiction, or a yachting enthusiast, this new edition of a classic will prove a seaworthy companion.
