Sure, it is kind of offline, but you have to go online to download each and every word.
IF YOU DON'T GO ONLINE MUCH ON YOUR DEVICE, DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

aww :( i thought it was offline!!!! i saw this and i thought yes it's offline but when i went on it on my phone it said i needed an internet connection 
good thing it's free coz i deleted it without hesitation
no point in downloading this even if you do have an internet connection on your phone, you'd be better off downloading a normal translator/dictionary app

Great for quick, concise definitions on the run. I like being able to access definitions anytime even when the Internet connections are unavailable. The main thing I miss is etymology.

Like a lot, v. easy to use, basic languages (English, French, german, portugese, Russian) are free, and doesn't take up a lot of space. Optional (and still free) dictionary and thesaurus available.

I use this all the time for homework or when I'm reading and don't know a word. Thanks to the creator ,who was obviously planning ahead. Wifi isn't always available. That's why I love this app. A+ on navigation also.

It is a bit slow during the word input - the keys lag behind your strokes, presumably because it's processing the data - but other than that there are no flaws that I've experienced so far. Great to have!
