I feel safe asking for help on things i would have otherwise never. But there is a lot of bugs, and i do mean a lot. It is a shame, because it is otherwise such an innovative feminine safe space. ### 2/5 — I really want to love this app *2026-01-29, version 1.4.0* I love the concept of the community and the app but idk what is happening of the background of the app i was literally just scrolling for less than five mins and was leaving a comment on a post and it completely overheated my phone to the point the app force closed itself and i had to turn off my phone and cool it off like it was HOT if that gets fixed id be opening to being a user but that was really bad ### 4/5 — What a wonderful community *2025-04-29, version 1.3.2* I found Diem via an add on Instagram but Im SO grateful I did! I love that the girls/gays/theys can post whatever they want and it can be both a silly and giggley time, OR a difficult and honest question/answer space for someone who needs advice. So it’s hard for me to stay on it. Trying to leave this review before I give up and delete ### 3/5 — Ugh *2025-03-23, version 1.2.12* I really want to like this app, I’ve been using it for a while, but there are so many bugs that make it not worth it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve written posts and then because I accidentally tap somewhere on the screen it closes everything I’ve written and erases it all. I’ve written the same posts three or four times before finally just giving up because the app shuts down because I paused to think about what I’m going to say next and my phone goes to sleep, or I go to click “post” and don’t tap it exactly in the middle and all I’ve written is now gone. I also get notifications about something someone posted, and it’ll sound interesting but when I click the notification it just takes me to the main page and I can’t find that particular post. I keep deleting the app, then trying it again, then remembering why I deleted it in the first place. I think it has the potential to be great, but please fix the basics. ### 2/5 — Want to love it *2025-03-19, version 1.2.11* I really want to love this, but it is clearly not made for my age group. All of the suggested topics focus on sexuality and menstrual cycles. There is more to us than that! And my searches haven’t shown things that are relevant to me- but i know I’m not the only one looking for support in this political and social climate. Might try again in a few months if updates are made. I love crowdsourcing info and Ive read a lot of supportive, uplifting and HELPFUL comments from the girls, gays and theys whenever someone is having issues and needs advice or support. It seens to be growing quickly and they keep updating the app so its running smoother but I really like the community 💜 **Developer response:** Omg yay! This made us smile :) ### 3/5 — Please please *2024-11-25* I really want to love this app, but there are so many little things that are frustrating. Like responding to posts: if I respond to someone’s post, someone can respond to my response, but I then that’s it. I can’t comment back. If there’s a reason for litter comments, I understand, but can we at least have a little back and forth? Also private messages. Why don’t we have those? I feel like we could have more in depth discussions that feel like talking to real people, but the app is limited. I think it’s a good start though. Wish I had it when I was young. **Developer response:** Hi! We're sorry you find the threading experience frustrating, we're working on making the threading experience have more layers - so you can go back/forth better. You can actually respond again, the UI is just a little confusing (we're fixing it!), if you click the Respond button under the original comment, it will reply to the person. We don't have DM'ing for moderation and safety reasons, when we roll it out in the future we want to be super sure we can protect everyone, as a team of women we know how negative DMs can be and we don't want people to have that experience here. We also want to make sure other people can benefit from the wisdom being shared in conversations and it's not locked behind closed doors as it currently is in group chats, hence why DM'ing has been lower on our priority list. But the app itself is extremely laggy and clunky. There’s no reason why I should have to click on buttons several times to get it to respond. I feel really cosy every time I open this app 💕 **Developer response:** awww, making us blush! ### 2/5 — Anonymity issue *2024-02-06, version 1.0.80* I created a post anonymously and then responded to a user but forgot to tick anonymous when replying. There is a button to choose whether your comment/post is anonymous each time. I tried to edit my comment as I was not comfortable being not anonymous but the button to change this option does not work. This is really bad when people are trying to get help with issues they may find embarrassing and/or don’t want to be identified. The app should automatically assume the person wants to be anonymous considering the nature/purpose of the app. A button should then be available to make your account visible. On top of this, a comment/post should be editable to change this option. I believe the button during the edit was meant to do this but obviously doesn’t work. Disappointed because I think the anonymity of it all is really important. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App stopped working *2026-03-11, version 1.4.0* I was super excited about Diem when it first launched and loved using it. I even chose to invest through the wefunder campaign. However, shortly after the app stopped working for me completely. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, checking for updates etc with no luck, when I ask the ai a question it just keeps thinking and never loads an answer. The worst part is that I’ve reached out to support 2-3 times in the last year with no response at all. I’m so disappointed, I made a small investment in this app and I can’t even use it or get a response from the team. If you can get the app to work for you then it is a great space. Had I not had these issues I would have definitely given 4 stars. ### 1/5 — App AI mode doesn’t work *2026-03-06, version 1.4.0* Love the vision for the app! It has worked for me in the past well. I didn’t use it for a while though, and I’ve tried a few times in the past few months. AI quite literally defeats the purpose of connecting with others on this app and only makes it run worse. I don’t need an “AI Big Sister” who provides poorly developed and half-coherent summaries of what users have inputted into your platform. I want to directly tap into the experiences of other PEOPLE and I want to be able to do that by searching keywords. Please don’t sideline the human experience this app is so needed right now. ### 1/5 — SO MUCH SPAM! *2024-01-05, version 1.0.80* Edit - they are STILL emailing me after at least 8 requests for this stupid company to remove my data. AHHHH STOP EMAILING ME!!! I have tried multiple times to delete and close my account (by email, through IG, through LinkedIn); however no one replies to any of the emails and they will continue to spam you for months on end. Terrible platform (only works in their time zone otherwise you are notified the talk/event has already happened or is in the future), the chat groups are useless, the ‘hosts’ create groups then never add anything else or reply to people, their spammy emails are never ending, and there are very few ways to actually contact someone if you want to close your account. Your input is being collected to feed into their AI so that they can profit from your experiences, conversations, and personal information without rightfully paying you. This is just another example of "girlboss" feminism being used as a façade to profit off the vulnerability of women. ### 1/5 — Create an account? *2023-05-12, version 1.0.61* I just now got Diem. It already just “stuck”. I can’t go back, I can’t go forward. The app constantly freezes, the audio doesn’t work, or it brings me back to the sign-up form, forcing me to answer the prompts every time. The discussion topics are so awesome and I really want to be able join in on the conversation!
