### 3/5 — Great idea but...

*2014-09-06, version 1.9*

Love the idea, and the layout is clean but...
Much of the time it would not be possible to whip out a camera phone so this badly needs the ability to import from the camera roll in the MANUAL entry, where you can reuse regular/favourite meals or generic images for when a snap isn't possible. Why only allow the camera roll option for live entries? Cropping images would help too, as well as drag and drop rearranging.
In business settings or where there's a no cameras rule, phone is flat or not on you this wouldn't be usable.
Also needs ability to remove times.
Sort these out & it'll be good.
I've upgraded and will give it a go, see how it compares to other meal photo loggers.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2014-03-21*

I wish it had a Way to copy meals from one day to next. As a diabetic, I wish it would also keep track of carb count or fat grams - whichever one you wanted. Also a data base to keep your pics since they tend to get buried in your cameras file.

### 4/5 — Great app for meal junkies

*2013-09-03, version 1.9*

I have been using this app for one week and I can already see the benefits this app.

Very easy to use.

### 4/5 — Great app with much potential

*2013-08-19*

Good app- I wish it had a database of specific food types, esp as it relates to calories.

I realize it can pull photos from my photo library, but it would be great if I could create my own album of designated food categories as well as rate specific foods. By rating them, I can flag the ones I like and tailor my meal plan around those preferred foods.

### 4/5 — Please add

*2013-06-06, version 1.8*

Excellent app, it would be even better with a slider stating how hungry you are. The slider can go from full to starving. This would make me stop and assess how hungry I am before eating anything else.

### 3/5 — Good app

*2013-06-05, version 1.8*

Good app - the functionality made me very cognisant of the amount and quality of the food I was eating in just a couple of days. I would like a way of recording how much fruit/ veg I was eating rather than just a calorie counter but otherwise a good app.

### 4/5 — Good. Almost Excellent

*2013-02-27, version 1.7*

This App is so quick and easy. Very simple to use. Takes great photos. I love the time feature on it. One thing I'd love to see on it is more meals or ability to change name of meals - for the likes of people who are keeping a fitness diet diary and need to eat every 2.5 hours breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, evening snack and then possibly midnight snack. Also of this would allow to add fitness activities that would be good. Overall for what it is and for the cost it's well done.

### 4/5 — Visual Tracker

*2013-02-04*

I like the fact I can just take a pic and record what I eat later. I also can keep track of how often I am eating with the recorded time. I would like a drop down box to pick whether this is a breakfast, or morning snack. Depending on my schedule, breakfast could be at 10, but the automatic time will say morning snack. That's the only change I would make !

### 3/5 — Good app but...

*2013-02-02, version 1.7*

Best free picture diet dairy/logger I've found so far. It's straight forward and let's you into/edit pictures you've taken through out the day. BE WARNED! You do have to pay 69p for proper use.

This is a basic app. Not great looking, lack of customisation, pictures are squashed and lack of being able to view the overall day/weeks food and info.

However... Its very easy to use and Cheap compared to the competition. Crossing my fingers for some great upgrades that will tempt me into getting the full version.

Meanwhile the search is still on

### 4/5 — Excelent app

*2013-01-03*

The best app for complementary my diet.

### 3/5 — Diet tracker needs exercise/notes sections

*2012-12-01, version 1.6*

I really like the app, my suggestion to improve it would be a space to enter daily exercise, water drunk, and notes, like weight, working away, sick, started new diet etc!

### 3/5 — Could be bit improved..

*2012-07-31, version 1.6*

There is still bit to improve:
1. Exporting files dont export images, when the app is all about it.
When u exporting in all these 3 formats, it is really messy how it exports.
2. Few times i deleted my meal description as the button is placed on the right hand side rather than left where 'back to log' is, so instinctively you pressing delete rather than other.
3. In ideal world-i would like to put the item i ate and it would show how many calories it is, rather than me googling how many cala could that be.
4. I like the manual log.
5. I wish it had 'meal search pictures' so u could put pics of items u ate when u forgot to take a pic.

### 3/5 — Like it a lot but...

*2012-04-16*

I don't like that you can't use an image you have already used in the app, or one from your camera roll. I also hate that they don't reorder themselves in case you want to add something later. They don't readjust. I would also prefer an evening snack option.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Your kidding!!

*2013-04-22*

After only three pictures, you have to buy the full edition - what a shame as I liked the simplicity of it.

### 1/5 — Not truly free

*2013-01-16*

Seems like it might be a nice app. Hard to truly tell when this free version will only let you track 3 meals before you have to purchase the 'full version'. No matter how good it is, I won't pay for it after the somewhat false advertisement.

### 1/5 — This isn't free!!!

*2012-08-09*

This "Free" app only let's you enter 3 meals before it locks up the brakes and demands your money. I gave it 1 star because there wasn't an option for less. As for the app, it looks good but I am opposed to the (Free, if you Pay for it) trickery.

### 1/5 — Annoying pop-up messages

*2012-05-07, version 1.6*

Very annoying the pop-up messages that they are always sending to my phone, for that reason I am get rid of it.

### 1/5 — What a waste of time

*2011-08-15, version 1.1*

5 meals & then you have to pay 69p for a version which still has Advertising in!
I know it's not a lot of money but I feel ripped off because it wasn't clear in the description & so wasted my time

### 1/5 — Only allows 5 photos in total in this trial

*2011-05-06, version 1.1*

A lite version and 5 photo demo are not the same! It isn't the same as the app in the screenshots which is obviously the full version. Apart from that the app is incomplete without the option to track weight as well as food.

### 2/5 — Review

*2013-06-03, version 1.8*

Great App but I can't email more than one meals data at a time. The function to do this only sends it as code which is really annoying. Other than that it's great.
Please sort out this problem and it will be 5 star!

### 2/5 — Free version includes limit of 5 images

*2011-03-18*

I didn't like how you can only take 5 images in the free version of this app; afterwards you have to purchase the app for $1.99 + tax.... NOT COOL!!!

### 2/5 — Buy the full version

*2011-02-09*

The lite version only takes 5 photos and is useless beyond that. Instead of wasting a day taking photos and not being able to transfer save yourself the time and get the full version

### 3/5 — Poor picture quality

*2015-01-04*

I liked the simplicity of this app though.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app, couldn't be quicker to use

*2013-05-12*

My main issue with calorie counting is it generally takes too long and is a hassle to enter in most apps. I have a good idea of how many calories are in things now, I just need an app to save the photo and let me enter a rough guess. I was planning on writing an app to do this, but this app already exists and does everything I wanted.

This app is super quick. It's clear the dev was optimizing the number of steps required.

I can't believe how cheap people are. They will go through the checkout line and spontaneously grab a candy bar for $2 but not give a dev $1 for an app that took tens to hundreds of hours to develop.

### 5/5 — Useful

*2013-05-02, version 1.7*

It's actually uniquely motivating to have yourself a wall of shame. I've had food diaries before, but I like that this puts all the pictures in one easily accessible place - I'm being shamed into getting healthy! Very good app :).

### 5/5 — More labels

*2013-03-13*

I really find this tool useful. However it would nice to have more labels added "water" and "dessert".

### 5/5 — Wall of Shame

*2013-03-13, version 1.7*

A bit naughty not to have declared the full cost of the App, but 5 stars for this 'Wall of Shame' app that has helped me to take charge of the 'nibbles' that were slowing me down on the bike. Great App that costs 69p after the first 5 meals (less than the price of that pie I would have inhaled)..

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2012-08-27*

Takes pics of what you eat so you can prove to your dietician what you eat. A great way to journal your diet. Quicker than jotting everything down on paper or looking up foods and ingredients. But you will still have to do that if you want to low the exact calories.

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2012-07-11*

Works really great. Taking pictures is more convenient than writing everything down. Also it makes you think twice..Do I really want to take picture of that chocolate, ice cream etc. Also if I manage to work out I just take picture of the gym as a reminder and to feel good. My background photo is a body I want, and sometimes I include between photos of meals photo of the parts of my body I want to improve. Try it!

### 5/5 — Super simple, super practical

*2012-07-04*

Excellent app for diet tracking.

### 5/5 — LOVE it

*2012-06-24*

Very easy and not overwhelming like calorie counting. And as needed u can still calorie count on here too. I think it is even more beneficial because u can see the amount of food as opposed to reading the amount. And as needed u can still count calories on here to! I do wish it had more categories or custom categories so I could track water vitamins and exercise with a photo too!! I can still do that just not as organized as it would be with that option ... but other than that complaint - LOVE this app ... oh and I was a little bummed the free app only gave me up to 3 pictures taken then had to buy!! lol it was worth the buck BUT should have been a longer trial/free version!!!!

### 5/5 — GREAT!!

*2012-04-24, version 1.5*

Really helpful to track my meals and their size so that I become aware of what I'm eating

### 5/5 — Full version awesome.. Lite not so much

*2012-03-30*

The free version only gives you 5 free pics to take. The full version costs .99 and is very good...U can take pics instead of guesstimating serving sizes.. The only problem is its hard hard for me to remember to take the pic before I eat. Another good feature is u can count calories or carbs. I like this app a lot bc it makes it easy to track what u eat.
