I do think it’s missing some search options. If I could search by oil or set of oils within my oils on hand, that would be so much more useful. There are so many recipes on here that if I want to search for something with a certain EO, I’m scrolling for hours trying to find just the ones I can make with what I have. Thanks for making this app. Please keep improving. ### 3/5 — Update Please *2022-05-24, version 1.3.1* Just started my essential oil venture and love love love this app…butttttt why no updates? Now that I am reading these reviews it makes me feel like the Apple App Store is allowing a company to charge us consumers without them living up to our expectations. As consumers we are willing to help with this, but none, I mean NONE of you links work?! Can someone help?! ### 2/5 — No longer updated? *2022-01-14, version 1.3.1* I used to love this app but nothing has been added since about September. I use revive oils and none of the new oils have been added for many months. I can’t email either. Link doesn’t work. ### 2/5 — Losing confidence *2021-10-03, version 1.3.1* In the last few months, the app doesn’t seem to be running as smooth as it used to. I used this app almost daily to either find a new blend to try or to share something I discovered. Now, information and images take a LONG time to load, so searching and uploading different blends has become a nightmare. The “info” button in the app doesn’t work and I couldn’t find a contact button on the website. Hope this app will receive a much-needed update soon! ### 3/5 — Would be good if it loaded. *2021-09-28, version 1.3.1* This is a pretty great app, or would be if the images actually loaded. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the picture banks need to be updated please! Considering you have to pay a subscription after 7 days you’d think it would be regularly updated and be given more features. No, just two measly updates since it’s release. The cost is roughly $36 per year and the app makes it very difficult to cancel an existing subscription. I was unable to cancel it through the App Store or the app itself. Finally I figured out you have to visit the apps website to access your information and cancel. With that said, my review pertains only to account accessibility and not the features offered by the app. ### 3/5 — Excellent if it works properly *2019-12-01, version 1.2* I trialled the app...which is an amazing opportunity to try before you buy. Glad I did though, because I was unable to save blend images as photos (which the website advertises you can do & which was a huge selling point for me). I sought assistance by starting a conversation with the support team on the app & got no reply. 7 days in to my 8 day trial & according to the app my query has not even been seen yet. This app would be amazing if you could actually save photos (so that when travelling with oils but no internet access you can still happily blend), but without that option I can just google blends. Was so excited to try your app, but not doing what is advertised & poor customer support means I would be reluctant to subscribe. =( ### 4/5 — Great app but... *2019-10-31, version 1.2* I’ve been using this app for awhile and it’s great but today it’s just loading a blank white page. I’m in an essential oil group and several people are having the same issue. PLEASE FIX. EDIT: I’m updating to 4 stars again as I’m no longer getting the blank white page which is nice but I dislike that I have to message someone about removing one of my blends. If I want it taken down I’d like to just hit the delete button and remove it instantly. Other than that I really like this app. ### 4/5 — Obsessed with this app! *2019-08-10, version 1.2* I check it every day to see new blends and love the customization and visuals. I especially love the conversions, so helpful! My only wish is that we could be able to “follow” certain blend makers and get notified when they post new blends. As well as be able to see any past blends they have posted. It would also be great to comment on blends like a past reviewer mentioned. Just to make things a little more like a community. Overall, this is one of my favorite apps that I have! ### 2/5 — Not so Useful Anymore *2018-12-23, version 1.2* I loved this app when I first discovered it, but with the recent update they took away everything that was useful about it for me. If the blends you are creating, or interested in working with, contain any skin sensitive oils, then they only allow a couple options. They don’t even let you use their dilution calculator, which doesn’t make sense as those oils should be diluted. ### 2/5 — Kim *2018-06-09, version 1.0* 2 things... 1) it’s silly that the app doesn’t have the capability to create accounts and that you need to go out of the app and to a webpage to create an account 2) hidden fees are frustrating, it’s much better to just being upfront bc it makes people assume there’s more you’re not saying. I decided to delete the app instead of creating an account bc I don’t it doesn’t make a good first impression. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Difficult to cancel subscription *2025-12-18, version 1.3.1* There is no easy way to cancel your subscription, you have to contact them to cancel it. And it does auto renew. ### 1/5 — Since when was this no longer free? *2025-07-13, version 1.3.1* Dismayed to receive a communication from Diffuser Blends saying my account access would end in 14 days if I didn’t start paying. All for access to information that is readily available on the internet for free? Such a shame, as it was a neat little app, despite the bugs. Won’t be using this again. ### 1/5 — Paid but no access to content! *2024-01-19, version 1.3.1* After enjoying my subscription for the first year, I paid to renew for another year but got locked out of my account as soon as they took the money. There is no help online and no replies to emails. Avoid! ### 1/5 — Just paid and now says account canceled?! *2023-05-09, version 1.3.1* I just paid by credit card few hours ago and you removed credit card and now says account canceled and says I have to activate and pay again! Please restore/activate my account as I paid before ended I paid almost $15 aud! They will charge your card every year for a one time fee of $9.99. No one will answer you emails or phone calls. You cannot remove your billing information or cancel your account as per the instructions given. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time *2019-11-22, version 1.2* The description says that this app will allow you to log into your diffuser account. Maybe it does, I don’t know. What I do know is that you MUST log into your account, period. Oh, you don’t have an account either? Well, then this app is a waste of memory for you as well... what’s that? You will create an app? Where, how? The app gives you not even a hint, as to how to sign up for an account. No account, no access, waste of time, waste of memory to download. Please move on to a real app. ### 1/5 — Very limited *2018-04-11, version 1.0* It includes very few brands and very few oils. Don’t waste your money. Check out Pinterest. I reached out to the developer and got ignored. If you are only using “popular” oils then this is a good app. If you want to be creative and use Virginia or Himalayan cedar, sweet tangerine, red thyme etc. then you will be disappointed as I was. He also does not have plant guru oils, which in my opinion is the best of the budget oils. If your a do terra or young living fanatic, this is for you. If your like me, creative on a budget, find another app. I offered to join if the cedars and plant guru oils were added but the devs refused/ignored me. $10 a year is what he’s charging. Too much for what’s offered and I can be ignored by my wife for free. I really wanted to like the app but found it way too restrictive. If the dev would have added my oils, which I see as a reasonable request, I would gladly have joined. I doubt the dev ever plans to update or put any more work in this app if he is refusing to add the oils I requested. ### 1/5 — New and confused already *2017-10-26, version 1.0* I’m new to your app. Tried to make an account and it’s not allowing me to do it. Frustrated!!!! ### 1/5 — Diffuser Blends?!?! *2017-09-09, version 1.0* Do NOT get this app. It wouldn't even let me open it without an account with "diffuser blends!" But I have no idea what that is and it wouldn't even let me create an user account?!?! If you care about essential oils, it’s a great way to share blends and make your oils go further.
