Finally an app that makes American history actually approachable. The flashcard format is perfect — you can pick it up for five minutes or go deep for an hour and either way you come away having actually learned something. The breadth of content is impressive: presidents, states, timelines, and nearly 600 historical events all organized in a way that doesn’t feel overwhelming.

The Landmarks hub is a standout feature. 5,000+ historic sites on an interactive map is genuinely useful, especially if you travel. Being able to filter by state or president and jump straight into Maps is a nice touch.

With America’s 250th coming up, this is the right time to have something like this on your phone. Well worth the $2.99 — honestly could charge more.
