### 5/5 — Smarter way to save and search

*2026-09-12*

I save Instagram reels, recipes, X posts, PDFs to look at or listen to later, and it’s nice to have everything in one place instead of trying to remember where I saved something.

AI chat helps organize saved items and find something I saved. And I like that all my data is private and is on my device.

### 5/5 — A Game Changing App

*2026-09-11*

I normally do not review apps, but this is beyond my imagination. I have never found anything so useful for me on my daily work as a student and researcher. I collect a lot of source materials, chat responses, but I never found one good place to add them all. This app is built to exactly solve me needs. I use my own chatgpt subscription to then access and summarize this data. They claim it’s all private,I do not fully understand how that works, but the cool part is I can use Apple intelligence on all the data I stored offline while in airplane mode. I mean this is the closest I got to a private llm experience. I am excited guys, you try it out too.

### 5/5 — Best find of the year

*2026-09-11*

Wow, I stumbled upon this app when I was looking for a nice way to save the responses claude gave me so that it was not lost in all the chats I had and this app was perfect. you can paste or share and I keep a copy preserve. and it s so much easier to share the response as markdown or html to my colleagues. the html is so good. i can tell there are so many developer focused features that I am gonna try, may be even revise my review. this is a 5 star app. feels like something made by apple themselves.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2026.36.363 — 2026-09-05

Starter content
• New installs come with sample digexts: a Wikipedia article, an MDN reference page, a YouTube video, an Apple Maps place, an Instagram carousel, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok shares, and two diary entries with a map and a voice note.
• Samples are grouped into Learn, Build and Explore collections. Remove them any time from Settings without touching your own digexts.

Free PRO trial
• First launch now offers a one-month PRO trial with no credit card and no auto-renew.

Extraction
• Sharing an X article saves the article you shared, not an ad or an unrelated reply. Long posts and focal posts extract more reliably.
• Gemini shares no longer drop generated images, and Grok generated images are labeled consistently.
• Photos shared from WhatsApp no longer save a stray "Sent from WhatsApp" segment.
• Image-only digexts get titles grounded in what is actually in the picture.

Fixes
• The mini player plays audio without PRO.
• Unlocking content after your monthly extraction quota resets works again, and quota messages are shorter.
• The onboarding paywall keeps its bottom bar styling.

### 2026.34.344 — 2026-08-27

Go Pro on your terms; choose from flexible new plans, monthly or annual.

Pick a plan on the redesigned paywall, preview articles before you upgrade, and see your Pro status at a glance.

Plus faster app launch and visual polish throughout.

### 2026.33.338 — 2026-08-13

- Rich HTML export — exports now carry the whole item, not just text: inline video with tap-to-play, an audio player with transcript, PDF/Maps/Sources cards, link previews, and properly rendered math. Exported files re-import with everything intact.
- Diary — the day carousel appears as soon as you open Diary, deleting a day keeps you there instead of bouncing out, and diaries are named by date.
- Search — when an exact all-terms match finds nothing, you now get best-effort results instead of an empty list.
- Chat — upgraded to Claude Opus 5, and replies no longer drop text mid-stream.
- Smoother and steadier — faster Diary scrolling in large libraries, your side-panel scroll position survives refreshes, smaller app download, and a fixed crash during onboarding.

### 2026.30.315 — 2026-07-30

The biggest Digext update yet - capture more, move your content freely, and make reading yours.

Capture more:
– Shared conversations from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Mode
– Connect your X account in Settings and Digext captures entire articles, threads, and videos

Your content, in and out:
– Import HTML and Markdown files straight into your library
– Share any digest as Plain Text, Markdown, PDF, HTML, or a Digext file

And throughout:
– New typography controls in Settings
