Y’all might want to refocus your efforts and make this app useful again. Don’t be Reddit. Can you add in a simple back-button??? Workaround is to close down the entire app and restart it. It’s been like this for at least a year. The app lets you click on stories to read & videos to watch, and when you are finished with that particular story or video, you can’t return to the Digg app. You have to close the entire app, then reopen it to pick the next story. Maddening. Digg developers, stop digging a hole for yourselves and make the app easier to navigate. ### 2/5 — It’s be great if it worked! *2020-06-08, version 7.0.0* This app is so frustrating! The idea and the articles offered up are great. So much interesting stuff! However, the app is littered with bugs. There’s no back button on 90% of the pages, so you’re forced to close the app. You can’t save articles for later because the links to link your account don’t work, and there’s no back button, so you’re forced to close the app. If on off chance it lets you login with Facebook it doesn’t remember your details anyway, so it’s pointless. Fix these issues and it’d be my go to app for articles. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Lacking *2023-08-10* Thanks to Reddits crappy treatment of Apollo and others, I walked away and thought Digg might be a new place for me. Nope. I’ve tried it for over a month and, although some of the content is interesting, it lacks the ability to engage me longer than 10 minutes before boredom sets in. And no back button??? Seriously? It’s actually seriously frustrating. Overall it’s clumsy to use and poorly designed. I feel like it was a high school kids first attempt at designing their own app. I rarely look at it anymore, and now that I’m reviewing it… I realize I just need to delete it off my phone and move on. ### 1/5 — Unable to login *2023-07-27, version 7.0.0* Google is disallowing access due to an outdated login method. This will be the oldest app I've deleted on my devices. I kept opening it to look for updates. It’s lack of functionality or usability make it total garbage. I kept thinking they would fix it—never happened. Finally today I decided they must know of the issue but have no idea how to fix it because they can’t reproduce it. So I deleted the app entirely and reinstalled it. Voila! Problem solved! Must be a problem with an old internal database that hasn’t been updated properly. If they’d load a dev build on a failing device they may be able to fix it. I can’t believe I’m alone with this issue. I can’t imagine how many users the lost over this bug. I can’t believe I waited this long to try it but I never really cared enough—I just used the desktop. It avoids click bait culture. And the app itself it solid. I love the option dot button under each story. It makes saving articles to Pocket for later a breeze. The machine learning tech is the best I've seen for any news app, way better than Apple News. The RSS feed is the best around, especially the "Top Stories" feature that surfaces articles that people you follow on Twitter tweet.
