### 3/5 — Good app, but a major power drain

*2026-02-26*

I love the app, despite the bugs - save one major flaw.

It really drains the battery on my iPad. Seriously, it drains my iPad battery at an average 2% per minute.

Can you guys please fix this issue? It’s also kind of suspicious, because usually when an app drains power that fast, it’s usually because the app is harvesting personal data.

### 2/5 — Bad pressure cooker

*2026-02-04*

I was really so hopeful for this app, but it is so riddled with political propaganda, yellow journalism, falsehoods, fake information and political rhetoric from both sides that has really just made me not even wanna open the app anymore. it’s a pressure cooker for bad stuff. It does have a nice design and layout and functions as well.

### 5/5 — Digg is back and it’s awesome

*2025-11-10*

I’ve waiting 15 years for Digg to come back. I received my invitation today and it is everything I remember it was!

### 5/5 — Great it’s back!

*2025-11-10*

I am very glad that this is back. Reddit needs the competition.

### 1/5 — The App Keeps Crashing On Me.

*2025-11-07, version 1.5.2*

Try to send my invite code from my e-mail but it crashing on me. Hope it would be fix by the next update.

### 1/5 — Its alright, no custom communities, just the main few

*2025-11-04*

Good to have a reddit alternative, has it's own issues but isn't as bad, will be solid once it's public and ready, isn't ready now at all lol

I prefer lemmy/piefed and their many apps, federation is the way to go, tired of corporations controllng what we say, plus its more developed and has custom communities for different topics, that is a weird thing to omit

### 5/5 — Very elegant app

*2025-11-04, version 1.5.1*

Surprisingly well done and has a better feel than reddit. Their app is awful. This is snappy, easy, intuitive, and comfortable.

### 1/5 — Signup flow not quite ready yet

*2025-11-04, version 1.5.1*

The signup link crashes the app. Entering the code manually also crashes the app. 🤷

### 1/5 — Idk why I even have the app right now

*2025-11-04, version 1.5.1*

Was told in August to expect an invite “in the coming weeks.” Still no invite.

### 5/5 — Like Reddit, but without the corporate overlords

*2025-10-31, version 1.5.1*

Tired of the bots? Tired of the slop? Tired of your opinions and communities being exploited for profit? Viva la web!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Same hivemind different app

*2026-02-04*

It’s the same toxic hivemind as Reddit, people downvoting differing opinions and constantly posting politics across every community.

I was hoping for a nice new place online for technical discussions and humor, instead I feel like I’m on an empty version of Reddit with less moderation. The AI summaries result in uninformed comments from people who aren’t reading the articles. While I appreciate the idea, Digg’s AI summaries are a huge disservice to having real discussion.

### 1/5 — digg delete your account w/o reason

*2026-01-22*

dont put your time into this worthless app. it deleted my account for no reason. i dont get email or any communication from them explaining why they deleted my account. Since I am nobody, the logic reason is that they don’t want me to own the two popular popular communities I created after it opened to the public to register. They just don’t want me, a nobody, to own something good. The company make me sick. I was an early supporter of new digg and really looking forward to share things on my communities and that’s how it treats its users. I strongly recommend people use Reddit instead of this bad news app.

### 1/5 — Its alright, they avoid following user suggestion, IDK why they ask for them

*2025-12-23*

Good to have a reddit alternative, has it's own issues but isn't as bad, will be solid once it's public and ready, isn't ready now at all lol

I prefer lemmy/piefed and their many apps, federation is the way to go, tired of corporations controllng what we say, plus its more developed and has custom communities for different topics, that is a weird thing to omit

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2025-12-21*

Ended up just deleting my account. It turns out that the politically entrenched people that are so awful that they’re banned on REDDIT have come over and just made it a toxic cesspool. I reported a user and the user’s comments multiple times since they were justifying terrorism and advocating for violence, and nothing ever happened - ever.

### 1/5 — don’t bother

*2025-12-19, version 1.6.2*

so after the app continues to crash now i have to sign back in and it says my own, unique, username is taken? just let me log back in with it. i’m not using this app anymore.

### 1/5 — Reddit 2.0

*2025-12-05, version 1.5.6*

This isn’t Digg. This is Reddit. And not even okay early 2010s Reddit, it’s almost exactly how Reddit is now. If you were thinking you’d get to enjoy at least a fraction of the Digg of old, keep searching because this isn’t it.

### 1/5 — Pro-Zionist, Anti-Palestinian

*2025-11-26, version 1.5.6*

Digg admins will ban you if you express disgust for the genocide Israel is committing in Gaza and the West Bank

### 1/5 — App still crashes entering invite code

*2025-11-11, version 1.5.2*

Title says it all. I’ll change my review when fixed

### 1/5 — Idk why I even have the app right now

*2025-11-10, version 1.5.2*

Got the invite, put it in, create a username and get “something went wrong. Please try again.” ad nauseam

### 1/5 — Invite to crash

*2025-11-08, version 1.5.2*

Received my invite. But the app crashes immediately upon my attempting to use it. That’s true for either case: 1. cutting and pasting from the email invite 2. using the link in the invite email.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Digg it!

*2026-02-23*

So much fun. It’s like a cross between Reddit and insta. Can’t be beat. And why do you need two different apps to participate in instagram. Actually four if you count Facebook and messenger. What kinda baloney is that? This app is way better than all that mess.

### 5/5 — Ye olde internet is back

*2026-01-23*

It feels like when social media sites first started taking their first clumsy steps into the light of a new world. It’s fun, it’s quirky, it’s a modern and fresh take on the social platforms we all love (or are addicted to)

### 5/5 — I’m loving it

*2026-01-16*

Loving this new version of digg. I enjoyed it before, but this is a much better way to interact with the site, then the web interface they used to have

### 5/5 — Bye bye Reddit

*2026-01-16*

So glad that Digg is back. They have a lot of work to do but they are on the right track. “Dank Memes” is the best community on there

### 5/5 — Digging BETA

*2025-12-24, version 1.6.3*

Humans sharing stuff with humans. What better way could there be.
In BETA, keep calm.

### 5/5 — Loving it so far

*2025-12-03, version 1.5.6*

I can see Digg take over internet again in a couple years. The downfall of reddit is going to fuel the rise of Digg.

### 5/5 — Good App

*2025-11-19, version 1.5.5*

For it being in its early times, the app is already better than most community centred apps. Probably because they actually listen and acknowledge feedback!

### 5/5 — Suck it Reddit

*2025-11-15, version 1.5.5*

Digg is back and it’s going to take Reddit to pound town!

### 5/5 — Still the best

*2025-11-13*

Digg app is done well, found no bugs so far (even if it is still in beta) and it’s great to have Digg back in the world!

### 5/5 — Digg

*2025-11-13, version 1.5.3*

Digg was awesome and now it still is.
