## What is DigiSmart Comprehension?

Fascinating fusion of English and History. Motivates students to improve reading comprehension while engaging with a theme across the ages. Topics from Magna Carta in 1215 to the present.

DigiSmart Comprehension explores the time-honoured theme of Protest & Power with a focus on 6 topics — starting with Magna Carta in the Middle Ages, to the Leveller movement in 17th Century England at a time of Civil Wars, to Manchester in 1819 with the Industrial Revolution full steam ahead, to the long campaign for Votes for Women in the 19th and early 20th Century, to Black Lives Matter and Extinction Rebellion in the present day.

This richly researched and illustrated app provides an opportunity to discover connections between all 6 topics and explore a developing theme across time. 

• 2 routes, Matrix challenge with Q&A system + option to read and explore each Topic flexibly.

• 3 levels for each Topic, 18 units of questions and answers. 

• 350+ question bank with feedback for every response.

• Level 1 offers a reading platform designed to be accessible, emphasis on scanning for words, progressing to greater levels of stretch and challenge at Levels 2 and 3.
