Incredible app, which can be used by parents and teachers to model, encourage and develop the key skills involved in reading for meaning- skimming, scanning and keywords- whilst engaging them in a fun, tech based journey through game levels and creating independent, confident readers. Particularly effective in rapidly improving the reading skills of reluctant or struggling readers in the 8-12 age range or for rapid fire practice of SAT based retrieval questions. Encouraging, incredibly motivating and yet educational, the impact in the classroom is clear. Children with new found confidence in their reading , grasp at opportunities to read more in depth texts ( because they can) and read more widely and freely ( because they want to) .
