## What is Digital Index?

Digital Index turns your professional identity into a digital visiting card you can share in a tap — no app needed on the other end.

CARDS THAT DO MORE THAN PAPER
Build a card with your name, role, company and contact details, pick a template, and share it by QR code or link. Keep separate cards for your individual, company, society or product identities, and switch between them in a tap. Every card carries a live QR code, so the person across from you scans and has your details instantly.

SCAN ONCE, REMEMBER FOREVER
Scan someone's Digital Index QR and their card is saved straight to your contact library. Tag it with the event, the group, a category and a note about what you actually talked about — and attach a selfie together, so you remember the face and not just the name.

YOUR PROFESSIONAL LIBRARY
Keep certificates, documents, images and videos in one place, alongside voice notes and written notes. What you add on your phone is there on the web, and the other way around.

MEETINGS, WITHOUT THE BACK AND FORTH
Schedule meetings with anyone on Digital Index — individuals, companies or an entire society's membership. Invite people who aren't on the platform by email, see who's free before you book, share a QR code that attendees scan to check in, and keep minutes against the meeting afterwards.

FOR COMPANIES AND SOCIETIES
Manage a company profile with its employees, clients, vacancies and events. Run a society's membership roster. Join communities and groups where your card is discoverable to the people looking for you.

ONE IDENTITY, EVERYWHERE
Digital Index shares an account with Digital Profile, so what you fill in on one appears on the other. Sign in with a magic link — no password to remember.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 2.2.3 — 2026-10-07

Front desk: a screen to leave running at reception. Visitors check in one of three ways:
showing their Digital Index card;
showing a pass the company emailed them ahead of time;
filling in a walk-in form (name, phone, company, purpose, whom they're meeting, and a photo).
On check-in: the visitor gets a badge number for the day, and their host is told in the app and by email.
Check-out: scanning the pass again checks them out, or reception can check them out from the desk's list.
Blocked list: a visitor whose phone or email matches it is refused at the desk with the reason ("Don't admit").
Pre-registration: any manager can register a visitor ahead of time. The visitor is emailed a pass link that opens a pass page with the QR code. They don't need an account.
Visitors tab: who's on site now, who's expected, today's log and the full history. It has search and check-out, and exports the last 30 days as a spreadsheet file (CSV).

### 2.1 — 2026-09-28

Notifications: a bell with the unread count at the top of My Cards, plus a Notifications tile in More (and a sidebar item on index-web).
Tapping a notification marks it read and opens what it's about: the meeting itself, Societies for invitations, or My Profile for review results and messages.
"Mark all read" clears the count.
It's the same feed the website shows. The count refreshes every minute while the app is open.
Products on company and society pages: each page lists its products. Owners also see products that aren't live yet, marked as such, and have an Add a product button that creates a product page linked to that company.
Save to contacts on someone's profile in Discover. It saves their Digital Index card, the same as scanning their QR code, so blocks and the contact limit still apply. If they don't have a card, the app says so.
