Digital Invea is a one stop medium for all your Ethiopian passport, origin ID related services for the Ethiopian diaspora. This application allows the users to apply for new and renewal of their passport and Origin ID.
Digital Invea provides a secure way to provide necessary details, upload the appropriate documents, conduct the payment, and apply for new and renewal services(of Passport and Origin ID) with a few clicks that take 5 to 10 minutes. All applications will be processed within a secured administrative panel at INVIA centralized office. The app itself is okay and not the most user-friendly, but the customer service support is nonexistent or barely there. Unfortunately, there is no better an alternative as of this writing. The people deserve better customer service support for the fees charged.

They sent my passport without signature because my prior passport didn’t have one. The options they have don’t have anything listed for all the cases and they expect you to pay for it everytime they make a mistake. I’m paying together 600 something dollars to fix their mistake. Horrible service and system design and lack of accountability.

I am happy to be able to use an app and fill it out online instead of having to go to the embassy to get things done. Unfortunately I find it annoying that I have to redo my application every single time the app decides to log me out. Every step has to be redone which can be tiresome. Please fix this. Thank you!

This app is very helpful if used properly. Unfortunately tho we are dealing with yet another corrupt and incompetent government system that is literally stealing money in broad daylight. Apparently, if you don’t have a green card you aren’t eligible to get your Ethiopian passport renewed. YES I’m not kidding! The irony is that they ask you to fill out a form and every step seems normal then you make a payment of either $350 or $450 depending on your choice. Then comes the punch in the gut they will send you an email the next day saying your form is incomplete, because you need to provide your green card information. So if you don’t have a green card apparently you are not eligible to get a passport renewal yes you read that right! It’s a complete joke on citizens that reside in the United States without being a green card holder. Why do you charge people money first and then ask for the green card requirement! They tell you to get a support letter from the embassy which is a joke since they don’t respond to email or phone calls. THIS IS A STATE SPONSORED CORRUPTION DESIGNED NOT TO HELP CITIZENS BUT STEAL THEIR MONEY IN A BROAD DAYLIGHT! People if you are not a Green Card holder please be very aware do not complete the payment you will never see your money again and you will not get any support letter from the embassy. It’s a spider web of corruption! Absolutely pathetic service!
