It brings back great memories. Apple’s Photos app has this feature, but the shuffle starts to repeat after 100 photos or so. This app does a true shuffle that doesn’t repeat. It also optionally displays the Title, Location, and Date, which is great when you have decades of photos. (I’ve set location and date for all of my photos, including scanned ones). The app has dozens of settings providing lots of control over how the photos are displayed, and the developer was very responsive when I had a question about one of the settings. ### 5/5 — Love it! *2026-06-03, version 6.15.0* Fantastic for repurposing my old iPad into a frame! Yes, you can use YouTube or some other Apple TV apps, but it is hard to put your own pictures in those apps. This solves this issue. This app works on my iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV, which is exactly what I want. To put my pictures as artwork on my tv when we are not watching it. The app gives me a lot of versatility. There is only one thing I can do on my iPhone and iPad that I wish the TV app also included and that is to use my Apple Music library to play music while my photos are on Apple TV. This would make the app a 10 in my book. I purchased the lifetime membership! Thank you. ### 5/5 — Best for Apple Photos! *2026-05-14, version 6.14.0* Family and friends love this app. I re-purposed an old iPad that was collecting dust in an office closet and followed Manuel’s instructions on how to prepare a digital slideshow. I simply mark photos on my Apple device (you only have to mark a photo as a favorite on an iMac, iPad or iPhone) and played the Favorites slideshow from the old iPad using the Digital Photo Frame Slideshow app. Easy peasy! When I restart the app any newly marked favorite photos automatically get included in the slideshow. I catch my wife, myself, family and friends stopping to view the wonderful memories! Thank you for this wonderful treasure. ### 5/5 — Bring life to an old iPad *2026-05-12, version 6.14.0* My iPad mini is now redundant as it isn’t supported by new updates, this app has given it a new lease of life and it seems to be the best option out there. I’d like to have more control over the time and date, I want to be able to separate them and move them independently of each other. It would be cool to have integration with the calendar so you can see upcoming reminders and calendar entries. It would be nice to have a little more control over the design of these items and where they sit. Great work on the app and thanks for allowing older iPads to download this. Digital Photo Frame Slideshow keeps getting better and better all the time. Organizing is easy and access is simple. I absolutely love how easy this app is to use. An actual digital frame is complex compared to using this app. You can cast your creation to a large screen tv and save hundreds of dollars on digital frames. The possibilities are endless. I am starting to create slide shows combining both short videos and still shots. Since I started using it, the ability to easily add, delete and reorder images right in the app has been addded. It's thoughtfully designed, exceptionally well implemented, and-surprisingly rare in this category-its features actually work reliably. Even Apple's Photos slideshow can crash on my iPad after running for several hours with a large collection of photos and videos, while this app handles the job far more dependably. Video support is one of its biggest strengths. Most competing apps don't play videos at all, and many that do are buggy or laggy. Here, videos make the slideshow dramatically more engaging, vivid and immersive. The overall level of polish is far beyond nearly every alternative I've tried. It's clear the developer understands how people actually use a digital photo frame and has carefully included the features that matter most. Privacy is another major advantage. You can start slideshows directly from your existing is photo albums, with no need to upload personal memories to another company's cloud. Tested a bunch of apps and this was the best. It had a lot of features but what is even better is that the developer (Manuel) continues to do new development on the app adding both new features and sometimes tweaking existing features to make them even better. Manuel encourages and listens to user feedback and suggestions making some tweaks when he feels it is warranted to improve the user experience. His Customer Support is stellar. Very quick and detailed responses. I am thankful for this app. It has saved me tons of time. It is easy to use and offers tremendous results. I have suggested the app to many friends who were having trouble making slideshows with other apps and they have all been extremely pleased with the ease of use and the results. If you are looking for a great Photo Frame/Slideshow program check out the trial of this app. You won’t be disappointed.
