It’s impossible and there’s no help anywhere for it. I tried using my old phone, but it keeps telling me to update the newest software. I have done it 20 times now and it’s still asked me to update the app. So I tried another time and then I get back into the Digital Token app and ask me to do it again. ### 1/5 — Stupid app dumber bank *2025-04-25, version 2502.0.0* Why would you publish your own app to do auto tokens? Just use industry standard tokens so people don’t have to download your stupid app. Such a waste of time Wonder how many millions it cost you internally to develop an app like this instead of using standard TOTP tokens Someone should be fired who made this decision. ### 1/5 — Scotia Digital Services BAD *2025-04-15* With accounts in a few banks, the “digital world” of Scotiabank México (at least) plus the phone authentication process it’s complicated, slow, cumbersome and the worst I’ve used. . ### 1/5 — Number doesn’t match *2025-04-07, version 2502.0.0* The token on the app doesn’t work on the website. Waste of time. Error: “Please enter the token value displayed in the app” … I am. %#^*!!! Now let’s wait on hold for several hours. ### 1/5 — Why not use industry standards? *2024-12-16, version 2408.0.0* This really boggles the mind, developing an app for which there are already standards such as TOTP apps by Bitwarden, Google and Microsoft. The Scotia implementation does only work with this app. But it has no option to backup anything. J’essaie d’ouvrir l’application de la Banque Scotia. Il faut que je télécharge cet application de jeton qui me demande de numériser un code à barre. Quel code à barre ? Je le trouve où ? Et comment utiliser une application pour numériser une autre application sur le même cellulaire. C’est la pire application que j’ai vu. Le support technique est horrible, le temps d’attente est très long, plus de 20 minutes. Le service n’a pas cessé de diminuer avec cette banque.
