I don’t think all the puzzles are solvable. Some are too easy, others are impossible, and you can’t find out the answer. You also should be able to back up a step, instead of only being able to reset. The main issue with this app is that it crashes frequently, losing the game that’s in progress, counting it as a loss, and messing up my stats. It would also be nice to have different levels of play. This one is good for me because it’s challenging, but not so hard that I quit. ### 3/5 — great game but something is wrong! *2024-04-17* I love it but after playing a game then using my phone for something else, when I return to Digits the screen shows the 6 numbers but not the target number! Reset doesn’t change it, so I have to open another new game. My stats assumes that I have failed to solve the opening puzzle, which makes stats worthless. I’m running Digits on my iPhone 12 Pro with IOS 17.4.1, the most recent version. No timers, but a lot of thought!! Almost like an algebra equation but all you have is the solution!! You’re provided the equals amount, and what X, Y, Z, etc, are, but placement & what you DO with them is up to you!! Out society would be smarter if everyone played something like this everyday!!! Highly recommend!! Though I find this one a little harder. One wish: I wish there were an undo, instead there is a restart. I’d actually like both. Sometimes I fat finger the +,-,\, or *. Then I have to go all the way back instead of just one step. Also, after several tries, the app intermittently crashes, and when I come back to the game it is a new problem. ### 4/5 — It’s like the NYT version… *2023-08-05* As you know, NYT is dropping their version of Digits on Aug 8. Sadly this app doesn’t have the same puzzle that your friends might be doing with a share feature, as the NYT version does. But….! It’s basically the same game and fun if you like numbers and operations. It does make you better at understanding operations and values that produce other values. Thanks to the coder who programmed this.
