Certainly it is much easier to use this app to programme the radiator to switch on/off to a schedule. However for the app to connect to the radiator it is necessary to be within a few feet of the radiator with the phone (I have an iPhone SE with latest updates installed). This is useless. I expect an app for controlling an appliance to work from anywhere in the house. What’s the point of standing next to a radiator in a cold room to turn it on. I need the room to be warm before I enter it! ### 3/5 — App recently stopped working *2024-12-30, version 3.0.5* When it works, it’s good. Recently, the app has stopped allowing me to change the boost time length. The time buttons just do nothing. It also no longer reverts to the previous setting after a boost. If it was on a weekly timer, it should surely go back to this after a ‘30 min boost’? Now it just seemed to turn off after the boost. Seems like obvious stuff to fix but don’t understand why there’s such a delay when so many people are complaining about the same issues. Paid a lot for this radiator, and one of the main incentives was the Bluetooth control. Please fix and I’ll add some stars! Update Dec 24: the app no longer connects to the radiator. I managed it once in about 10 tries recently, but the rest of the time it just gets stuck on ‘connecting …’. ### 3/5 — Needs minor fix *2024-12-03, version 3.0.5* Everything works as it should apart from when you try change the time on the auto schedule section I kicks you out the app. Sort this and then I’ll be very ahoy with this app ### 2/5 — Sometimes the app works *2024-01-13, version 3.0.5* This App is hit and miss, it takes a lot of patience to get it to work and then as you leave app to do something else when you come back in it forgets the heater and spends just say connecting. Worked well and easy to use. Recommended it to friends and family but then a few years ago there was a update and nothing but issues. My main issue is the auto (timer) function. As soon as I try and select the time to amend it the app crashes and I mean EVERYTIME!! A few updates since and still crashes!!! The only thing that worked on this app that I used was the boost I could put it on for half an hour and it would turn off after that time. Now it goes into eco! It finally “came”, and all you’ve done is put a warning in to say boost will switch to manual afterwards. What’s the point? Boost should switch to last setting used, which for the majority of reviewers seems to be the timer… It used to work fine 3 or 4 years ago. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult now. ### 2/5 — Mostly works apart from setting the time *2023-01-09, version 3.0.3* I have a Futurad (FutG3BT) and when setting Auto mode, the app crashes when selecting the desired on and off times. It’s instant. I’m on the latest IOS at the time of writing this. ### 1/5 — Un-smart app *2022-12-30, version 3.0.3* As we near 2023, having an app that relies on Bluetooth range in order to connect to the heater is beyond ridiculous. So I’m out of range and I can’t change heater settings. Woeful. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2022-12-08, version 3.0.3* Heater is brilliant but the App is utter garbage. Every time you try to enter a start time in the schedule the App just crashes. Bluetooth capability was why I bought the heater. C’mon you developers let’s have a fix for this very annoying ‘feature’ ### 1/5 — DANGEROUS! *2022-01-17, version 3.0.3* With the manual temp set to 5 degrees. When boosting to a higher temp for a set duration the heater should revert to 5 degrees when finished. Or if the heater was off it should turn off again. It doesn’t. It switches to manual and remains at the higher temperature. Not only wasting energy but it’s a potential fire hazard as the user may unwittingly leave it unattended. This is new behaviour and needs resolving. It’s the Dimplex 403BTB_BK Edited to add recent update has still not fixed this issue and no further contact from the manufacturer. Edited again Another month. Still no fix. Cannot use the app for boosting without setting a reminder to turn the thing off. Come on Dimplex. It used to work perfectly. You messed it up, just pay a dev to work out what you did wrong. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2021-11-29, version 3.0.2* Been working well till now then suddenly early hours of this morning the heater randomly turned on and the app rendered itself unusable. Had to manually turn it off which is pointless. Now the app just shows searching for heater and does nothing else ### 1/5 — V3 even worst than V2 *2021-11-24, version 3.0.2* Totally speechless it must take a particular skill to create software that is so bad. It is easier to say what works, you can connect to the heater but literally everything else is broken, you can’t switch it on and off, set the temperature, set the timer etc. as I said everything is broken. On top of all that it trash’s the timer settings on the heater which was never a problem with V2. Either hire some competent programmers or release the API spec so someone else can hopefully produce a functioning app which you are obviously incapable of doing. UPDATE 24/11/21 Heater Model: 403BTB iPhone SE 2020 and iPad Mini 4 both running ios 14 I have found the cause of some of the issues. As stated all the timer setting on the heater where lost and displayed on the heater as --:-- which it turn was interpreted by the app as 255:00 and as 255 is not a valid value for hours it caused the app to continually crash, setting all the timer values manually on the heater from --:-- to a valid time value worked around this problem. Other issues where due to change of behaviour of the save button from V2 to V3. With V2 no changes were sent to heater until the save button was pressed. With V3 the save button apparently does nothing, changes are sometimes set as soon a setting such as temperature is changed but not always and you need to make multiple attempts for the changes to be sent to the heater. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Pls Update! Crashes *2026-02-07, version 3.0.7* It’s so very buggy this app. I really wanted to use the programme/week settings. The app crashes every time you attempt to access this. I have three Bluetooth radiators not operating to half their potential. Please please please update this app Dimplex! ### 1/5 — Locked to portrait *2025-08-10, version 3.0.6* The general reliability of this app is well documented in other reviews, I have nothing to add to these but will say I tend to agree that the app is in desperate need of improvement. My primary issue is that it is locked in portrait mode. I use the app on my iPad which, for accessibility reasons, is permanently sat in a cradle and in landscape orientation. I may be wrong about this but I gather Apple made it possible to automatically reorient apps in an iPadOS update for this very reason and all that developers need to do is unlock the orientation. Had to exchange it for another one & same thing happened! The app crashes every time I attempt to enter a time. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Rapid response and excellent service from Dimplex (GDHV) *2020-09-04, version 2.1.0* The Dimplex Remo app stopped working with our Dimplex convector heater (model no. 403-BTB), presumably because of updating to the latest version of iOS (13). The Remo app could see the heater via BlueTooth, but the moment it connected the app crashed. I contacted Dimplex, and they responded right away. Three updates and about a week later, they have released a version (2.1) that now works with iOS 13. Excellent service; we are way more likely to buy another Dimplex product, and recommend them to others. It’s now so straightforward. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2017-01-14, version 1.0* Bought this heater as my home was under heated as this heater was black fitting in with my decor and wall mountable, firstly this heater is amazing so amazing that I am replacing my electric heating system to the dimplex403BTB the app is very good allowing remote use although a wifi module would of been better but Bluetooth is sufficient programming is a wiz with the app I've only found a few negatives with this item which in honesty are enhancements 1. State in the instructions to program the timer program via the app set the times in reverse p4,p3,p2,p1 this will avoid the error message 2. Update the app to facilitate disconnecting from the heater currently if you have 2 or more heaters switching between heaters is awkward you have to close the app and restart it and choose the heater you want. 3. Allow the app to show the current temperature and wether the heater is actively heating bit confusing when it shows the temperature but u feel cold. And finally this heater is only available in 3Kw would be nice to have 1 & 2 Kw options available and add a template in the instructions to allow wall mounting installation is a bit hit and miss but once it's up it's up like I sad these are improvements this heater is very well made and will give value for money best purchase I've ever made it's has allowed me to step away from storage heating ### 4/5 — Dimplex Futurad FUTM3BT worked fine with app. *2022-09-22, version 3.0.3* Bought a Dimplex Futurad FUTM3BT for timer and bluetooth option. Would be better with wifi as could control from anywhere in house, but with bluetooth you have to be right by it. App works fine with this product, was able to program the heater quite easily. Using iPhone 12 pro.
