### 4/5 — I need more tho!

*2018-07-03, version 1.3*

I love that this app exists, as its features, categories have potential to be incredibly useful. However, I’m longing for more material, which is why I’m giving it 4 Stars instead of 5. I feel that this app would be so spectacular if it were only updated. For example, there are categories that I would love to learn more about, and they’re blank, and there is not a “word of the day” for every day.

### 4/5 — Great concept

*2016-12-20, version 1.3*

I was excited to see that it was free but very limited until you buy a premium version. I was hoping to try out or at least navigate a little more before having to purchase something. Very great concept though and I hope it expands and gets more reviews about premium purchases and audio/dictionary expansions.

### 4/5 — Like it

*2016-07-28, version 1.3*

I really like the app for learning and the word of the day really increases vocabulary. App seems a little buggy at times and wish the dictionary had more words but I believe this is a work in progress so keep it up!

### 3/5 — Needs work

*2015-06-06, version 1.0*

Sadly app froze no drop down options when trying to enter words in dine. Good part is the keyboard is nice.

### 4/5 — Nizhoni

*2014-10-07, version 1.0*

I downloaded on my kids iPad and they listen and repeat after it. I like, they like. Keep the those navajo apps coming! 👍

### 5/5 — Really appreciate The Nation sharing

*2014-09-14, version 1.0*

Thank you for sharing your language and cultural background in an accessible app. The cadence and poetic sounds are a pleasure to explore, and I hope to share this with my Granddaughter. My husband and I practice after listening to the audible teaching feature. It is like revealing a mystery that becomes more intriguing with each visit. Having read many books on the Navajo Code Talkers and being a lifelong collector of your exquisite jewelry, I think this closer connection with the roots of my beloved Arizona will be a growing interest. Much appreciated! God bless The Nation and The People.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2023-07-24*

This app basically has no function but to disappoint people. You have to pay nine dollars for the pro version and nothing else on the app works. The dictionary doesn’t do anything, there is never a word of the day, and even the credits and info is just blank. I’m not sure this app has anything to do with Diné bizaad at all. I could learn more from that awful neglected navajo course on duolingo. I am more than happy to say Hágoóneeʼ to this horrible waste of an app.

### 1/5 — Unable to preform

*2021-06-29, version 1.3*

I paid $9.99 for this app and the sound doesn’t work and looking up certain words it freezes please do not purchase its a waste of money and time

### 1/5 — It’s don’t even work

*2020-10-20, version 1.3*

I tried this to learn more Navajo but, it don’t even work. When i try to search up a word it goes blank and does nothing maybe try fixing this app.

### 1/5 — Not Good.

*2019-03-24, version 1.3*

A waste of money! Some words do not have audio files! Very unorganized.

### 1/5 — Abandoned app

*2018-01-25, version 1.3*

This app has been abandoned and unfinished for a few years. Save your phone space and don’t download

### 1/5 — In theory, great but fails to deliver.

*2016-12-09, version 1.3*

In theory this app is a great idea. Unfortunately the app itself is a disappointment. Even after purchasing, the app fails to deliver a comprehensive dictionary, audio clips are a hit or miss (mostly a miss), word of the day often repeats itself or is discontinued all together, all other functions are "coming soon."

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2016-10-05, version 1.3*

The idea of this app is awesome. Many of the components are missing and lacking. There is rarely a word of the day. The dictionary is very limited. And Very few words have audio recordings with them, making it very difficult to learn how to speak simple phrases and words! I would not recommend this app at this time. I hope that the builders of this application continue to work on making it better.

### 1/5 — Learning Navajo?

*2015-08-01, version 1.1*

Don't get this app it gave me NOTHING.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2014-12-22, version 1.0*

This is a terrible app. Downloads malware and crashes your phone. Great scheme!

### 2/5 — Needs improvements

*2014-10-17, version 1.0*

Dictionary certainty needs more words added. I'm just learning how to read and write so i don't have a clue how a word is spelled in Dine how can possible know where to look in the dictionary. So there needs to be cross references. Need examples of sentences. Word of day comes everyday but I can't seem to get access to it. App at this time feels only useful for the keyboard for me.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2017-10-28, version 1.3*

I sm a beginner (white man) facinated with Navajo culture & language. And I am learning Navajo. I've noticed there isn't much support online for diné language learners. This app will help alot!

### 5/5 — Nízhoné!!

*2016-03-03, version 1.3*

Diné Bizaad app ayóo shíł yá'át'ééh! Saad ła 'bínáhoosh'aah. This app is really helpful if you're learning the language, it has a lot of words/phrases in the dictionary and is very easy to use. The word of the day part is also a great perk! I love that it sends me notifications when they're posted and there is almost always an audio pronunciation. It's very rare to find good sources for learning diné Bizaad and I am beyond thrilled there are apps like this keeping the language alive. My only complaint would be that there hasn't been that many "word of the day" posts but recently it's been much more frequent. Chxǫ́ǫ́h sxį́h! Ahéhee' bíhwiidoo'ááł.

### 5/5 — Diné language Teacher

Ya at eeh
Love this app. Especially helpful are hearing the sounds of native speakers and seeing how words are actually used in a sentence. Look forward to more updates. 😊
