The app never gave me an option to choose the card variant, it only showed a “Resume Application” button. I had to get the BLCK card blocked and cancelled. This issue appears to be a gap in the Swiggy/HDFC application journey and needs immediate attention. Please fix the application flow so customers can explicitly select the card they intend to apply for. Once resolved, I’d be happy to reapply for the ORNGE Lifetime Free card. ### 1/5 — System Failure after payment made *2025-04-07* After paying the cover charges and receiving confirmation for our table booking, I attempted to settle our bill through the app. However, upon pressing the “pay bill” section, the app crashed. To document this issue, I recorded the entire process and sent the evidence to the support team. I even tried logging in on a different mobile device to make the payment, but the app crashed again. This delay caused us to spend an additional 15 minutes after our meal attempting to pay, leading to uncomfortable stares from others waiting. Ultimately, I had to pay in cash, foregoing any discounts. After multiple discussions with the support team, they acknowledged that the system was down at that time, causing the app to crash. They requested a hard copy of the bill as evidence, despite admitting to the app’s failure. Obtaining a hard copy four days later is impractical, as most people don’t retain bills after a meal. It’s unreasonable to expect customers to return to the restaurant days later to request a specific bill. When I asked for a reimbursement of the cover charges I paid to utilize the payment offer, they denied the request, again asking for the hard copy. Even if I provided the bill, they might question its authenticity, asking how they could verify it was mine without my name on it. This approach seems like a tactic to withhold money from customers. To fellow customers, I advise taking a photo of your bill after any unsuccessful payment attempts with this application. Otherwise, you risk losing both the discount offer and any chance of reimbursing the cover charges. ### 1/5 — Denied entry after booking *2024-07-05* It is with great disappointment that I have to tell you all that Swiggy Dineout bookings cannot be trusted . I had booked dinner at Raddisson Blu with a Client- Sr management from both organisations to discuss business .When we went to the restaurant we were denied entry stating that the restaurant is booked for a private event and cannot be allowed. This was such an embarrassment to me and my organisation which has a potential financial impact. Please be careful about bookings when it involves serious business. No where in the app it says that it is only for personal bookings. I spoke to the Raddisson Blu team , though being a member they did not do anything blaming it on Swiggy Dineout . This will be a lesson for the future . What is your suggestion .. do I file against them for the potential financial business loss . ### 2/5 — Pathetic services *2022-05-09* I booked tickets for dhvani bhanushali show.. it was showing booking is confirmed then the next day I receive a msg saying that there was some error in booking so my money will be refunded to me within a week..so I paid cash at the spot to buy the tickets.. after one week I didn’t receive the money so i raised a complaint.. it has been a month..I am following with them for my own money to be refunded but each time I get just one reply from them that we are working on your complaint.. we will revert you within 24-48 hrs and I never get any reply from their side.. I am tired of calling them n listening to same excuses each time.. pathetic app and their pathetic services..for my own money I have to beg them!!!! **Developer response:** Please accept our sincere apologies. Some listings on the app are untrue. With just two restaurant visits, passport saved me about 3600₹. And then owing to its reliability till then I visited another restaurant with my family for my mothers birthday expecting to have sizeable discount on a fine dining experience. Firstly the reservation i made 1 week back with dineout was in Waitlisted status even on the day of visit. I called and made a proper reservation instead. And to my surprise, the restaurant was almost empty throughout our dinner. And one of the staff immediately told us as we entered the restaurant that Dineout integration has not been properly done yet and there wont be any discount. I paid the entire bill amount and that made a small dent in my wallet compared to the original amount I was planning to pay. Restaurant staff told me that, dineout is listing the restaurant with 30% discount even when the integration is not complete. And the app has no straightforward means to raise a feedback or complaint with regards to a reservation. **Developer response:** Hi, Please help us understand the the issue you are facing in depth. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Worst Customer Support *2021-11-03* Its been 17 Days and still counting… I made my payment on 17 of October which got failed in gateway it was supposed to get refund and still you guys are working on the same issue i raised multiple tickets made multiple calls to the customer care service wrote mails too and still you guys aren’t able to refund back the amount still how many days weeks months years decade i got to wait cause from your end i dont think so its gonna solve if i call the customer care they will write note to the ticket when i tell them to connect me to higher authority they will say me that we will arrange an call to you which i havent recieved till now Excellent customer support from dineout i would appreciate the work for technical team for ignoring my issue and unable to solve good keep going **Developer response:** Hi there, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. This will be handled with utmost priority. ### 1/5 — Hiding Terms *2021-03-29* I have installed the app and purchased deal for 50% off on entire bill, now if u see this line u will get that if you go to restaurant, you need to pay 50% only BUT the main crunch is that u need to buy individual coupons for all the members then only it’s applicable and this was nowhere written when buying off the coupon. Generally in Indian Restaurants, bill is not generated individually then why individual selling of coupons, moreover there are very limited coupons available per day so if you are visiting with family of 4, you need to buy coupons 3-4 days back as you need to buy 4 individual coupons. On the top of it, as per their policy, they are not going to refund any amount of coupon purchase. **Developer response:** Hi Rachit, you have to buy deals equivalent to the number of diners. I had booked a table and after meal paid via dineout, but the restaurant later informed they dont accept dineout pay, and will have to pay the restaurant directly as that their contract with dineout is. So i paid the amount by card and raised a refund request from dineout. Even after almost two months and numerous follow ups i have no response . So it is evident that if you have some issues with dineout pay , you are not going to get your money back. And after many follow up, you just mention that restaurant kept us in waitlisting.. don’t think that this is the only one hotel in Hyd. Worst exp with your app. Also I have booked 12 hrs before the time but you said that you will confirm the reservation before 1 hr, do you think that if you don’ t confirm we need to look anither hotel after that. Wow what a worst policy you have and when I chat n complain to customer care they do not even resolve the issue and close the chat. Regards Team Dineout ### 2/5 — Discount *2019-12-08* Came across the issue where you booked the table from dineout and hidden charges, service charges are apply by them which sum to your discount amount - when we talked to Restaurant manager they clearly shown the message of dine out executive and we talk to support chat and staff firstly they don’t know what to reply and they try to close your queries without even checking if issue is resolved or no, then keep u on hold for 15 min and don’t reply for 30 min.
