I applaud them for their success in garnering so many restaurants in the Western Cape. However the lack of completion may hurt them as there is not a need to innovate and the app is less than intuitive in places and it seems you have to start a search over if you decide not to book a selection once you’ve gone two clicks in versus simply going back to search list. ### 3/5 — Can’t login on the app *2025-05-24, version 1.31.0* Love the app, but I’ve been struggling to login for the past few months, it says: Failed to verify you with Google reCAPTCHA, please try again. ### 2/5 — App has been faulty for 2 months *2025-04-12, version 1.30.0* My app has been malfunctioning for 2 months. When I go to the Dineplan app, logged in as the same user, the app says I have no bookings. There is also no evident way to get assistance from Dineplan about the issue. ### 1/5 — Good app, but hidden traps *2023-01-12, version 1.22.0* The app itself is easy to use and may really help you to get a reservation on busy days. Also, you know availability in the area around. But: be careful…. They obviously charge a no show fee… also if you were there as booked but had no chance to get it (we were waiting on front of locked doors for 15 minutes and nobody picked up the phone….). Called the number in message which is the restuarant number only for them to inform me they dont do deliveries with dine plan. Money already off my acvount?? What utterly terrible service? No way to contact you guys either?? ### 1/5 — Unusable - Can’t Verify Account *2019-11-02, version 1.13.0* You need to have an account to make reservations. Part of the new account process is to verify your number via SMS. The SMS never gets sent. So you can’t complete the registration and therefore can’t make a reservation, therefore making it unusable. ### 1/5 — The SMS to verify account doesn’t arrives *2019-03-22* The SMS to verify account doesn’t arrives. Please help me. **Developer response:** Please email us at app@dineplan.com so we can help verify your account. We rely on 3rd parties to deliver our verification SMS's. Unfortunately SMS deliverability is never 100% when having to send SMS's all around the world, specifically to Brazil. ### 1/5 — Keeps hanging *2019-02-12, version 1.10.1* Have had to download the app 3 times because it keeps hanging in the middle of searching for a table. Really easy to use, and bookings made through the restaurants’ websites (before I got the app) also appeared once I had the app. Would be useful if the app had the facility where you could put in your date and preferred time, and area, and the app would show you what options were available. As it stands you can only look at specific restaurants by name, or put in an area to see a list of restaurants, but then you need to click through to each restaurant separately to see if they have availability for when you want it, which is time consuming.
