## What is DingBit?

DingBit — Hear the Ding, get the (ha)Bit.

A calmer way to build habits on iPhone and Apple Watch. DingBit uses the oldest trick in behavioral science — Pavlovian conditioning — to turn a gentle ding into your cue to breathe, stretch, hydrate, or anything else you want to do more often.

Set the rhythm. Hear the ding. Do the thing. Over time, the sound itself becomes the habit.

How it works
Pick a habit. Choose how often it should ding — every hour, three times a day, only on weekdays, your call. When the ding plays on your iPhone or taps your wrist on Apple Watch, you do the small action. One tap confirms it. That's the whole loop.

No streaks to protect. No guilt for missing one. No noisy gamification. Just a quiet, repeatable cue that trains your nervous system the way a bell trained Pavlov's dogs.

Features
• Pavlovian habit conditioning — sound and haptic cues that build real automaticity
• Native Apple Watch app — discreet wrist taps, one-tap confirmation, no phone needed
• Flexible schedules — pick frequency, time windows, and active days per habit
• Custom instructions — write your own micro-prompt for each habit ("inhale 4, exhale 6")
• Wellness-retreat design — calm typography, warm tones, zero clinical clutter
• Fully on-device — no account, no cloud, no tracking. Your habits stay yours.

Perfect for
• Mindful breathing and posture checks
• Hydration and movement reminders
• Gratitude pauses, focus resets, micro-stretches
• Anyone tired of habit apps that shame you into compliance

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.2 — 2026-08-11

Minor UI fix.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-08-09

- Added the option to choose the days a habit dings on

If your habit belongs to a working week, this was awkward. Stand up from the desk, stretch between meetings. You had to pause it every Friday and remember to unpause it on Monday, or take a whole weekend of dings you didn't want. Habits now carry their own days. You pick them while you're already setting the active hours, so setup didn't get any longer. Anything you've already made stays on all seven days until you change it.

- Fix to the notifications timing

### 2.0 — 2026-08-01

DingBit 2.0 is the biggest update since launch.

A plant that grows when you do

There's now a living plant at the top of your Home screen, and on your Watch. Answer your dings and it grows: a seed on day one, a new leaf every few days, a full crown at thirty. Go quiet and it drops a leaf, but it never dies on you. Once it's grown it starts fruiting, one every five active days, and the fruit hangs there until you pick it. Picking fruit unlocks a new badge track called The Harvest.

Find out how automatic your habit really is

Every habit now has a conditioning score: the share of your dings you answered straight from the notification, inside two minutes. That's the number this whole app is built on, so now you can watch it climb. Free for everyone. Supporters also get the weekly response-time trend behind it.

### 1.6 — 2026-07-14

Better cross-device sync reliability

### 1.5 — 2026-06-25

First iteration of widgets for home and lock screen.
