## What is Dinosaur Letters?

Have fun releasing the Dino's from their eggs as you learn your letters!

Dinosaur Letters allows your child to practice letter forming in both cursive (joined up) and simple pre cursive form. 

Letters are sounded out in either US or UK English phonics to allow your child to develop skills of breaking down words. You can choose your cursive style in settings. 

Completion of capital letters reveals a simple phonics based spelling game. Completion of either style of lower case letters is rewarded by a dot-to-dot puzzle which reveals the dinosaur in the egg. 

Made By Educators, tested in schools, apps with learning at their core!

The British Dyslexia association recommend that children learn the continuous cursive style. The cursive style has some significant advantages for Dyslexic students. 

The key advantages to this system are: 

* By making each letter in one movement, children’s hands develop a ‘physical memory’ of it, making it easier to produce the correct shape; 

* Because letters and words flow from left to right, children are less likely to reverse letters which are typically difficult (like b/d or p/q); 

* There is a clearer distinction between capital letters and lower case; 

* The continuous flow of writing ultimately improves speed and spelling.

A useful fun tool for children to practice cursive letters.
Has a few issues though which stops it being 5 stars, the ? button doesn't work, the cursive X pattern isn't correct (you end up drawing a line under it) and the pencil pointer is too big (you can't see very well where your moving it, especially the drawing section).

I'm also sorry to be so late replying, but the ability to answer reviews on iOS is new and is really useful! 

Your feedback allowed us to note the issue appearing on some phones with certain OS versions and updated the app, the current version is version 1.5 and we have not had any problems reported with this version. 

Your little one is probably much bigger now and doesn't need the letter practice any more but if you do go back and give it a try again do let us know how you get on!

My son loved this app and it got him practicing his letters! Don't know if he will be doing joined up yet as he starts school next week!

I bought this app as it seemed ideal for my son who has difficulty writing letters. It worked fine for  around 40 minutes after which none of the lessons responded I.e., clicking on letters would do nothing - even the drawings do not work! I tried emailin app support but the page does not exist on the developer's website. Very disappointed.

Having tried a few of these this is the best, with a good margin for error around the letters it doesn't get too frustrating. Also the bonus dinosaur games make it more interesting. Now to try with a stylus!
