## What is Dinosaur Says?

Ages 1-5 are critical in the development of speech and vocabulary in a child.  Approximately 10% of children in the age group experience speech delay.  Not being able to pronounce words correctly and/or not being able to form sentences.  This app is dedicated to help children practice their speech.  The reality of the world today is that technology is everywhere. Children spend hours and hours each day with technology.  As a parent, I want to limit the amount of time a child will spend watching a movie, tv show, or playing a game. Instead I want to ensure my child spending the most time with an education activity.  Sometimes however, it is unavoidable and you child will simply want to use an electronic device.  This is where Dinosaur Says tries to help.  

Why Dinosaur Says?

My child loves Dinosaurs.  And I made this app thinking of them and what a child would realistically like.  So I combined Dinosaurs with numbers and colours.  I wanted to build an app that is interesting and that children will want to interact with through speech.  Not simply and app that just related to touch and hearing.  Speech or communication is very important in a child's early years and I think its very important to have more and more apps that use voice recognition to help your child learn speaking abilities.

How the App Works:

New: Story Mode
A new interactive story with Dinosaur!  Read the story out loud.  As you pronounce the story correctly, the story will advance to the next page.
The Number Game:
Dinosaur is in a race and he needs your help to get to the finish line.  Can you count with dinosaur from 1 to 10?  Numbers will be displayed on the screen.  Each time you say the correct number out loud, dinosaur will advance to the finish line.

The Color Game:
Dinosaur loves colours. Can you learn Dinosaurs favourite colours?  The name of a color will appear on the screen.  Say the name of the colour out loud.  Dinosaur will tell you if you said the colour correctly.

The Alphabet Game:
Dinosaur needs to cross the bridge to get to her baby.  Help recite the alphabet to re unite dinosaur with her baby.

WatchOS:
Companion mini game added: Colours , Numbers.
