But I dont understand how buying the most expensive form of the real app doesn't give you access to the phone app. I understand a company trying to make a profit. That's fine. Make an App for the $99.00 clients and charge us $5 bucks for the app. Two stars only because of this. ### 3/5 — Password Issue *2012-05-07* To log in it is asking for the password. The DM password is huge… Once I typed it by hand it rejected it. It does not give an option to cut'n'patse it. Any suggestions? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Destroyed Everything: Do Not Update *2026-09-08* Claimed to be an “update” to the previous app, which was OK, but not great. And this new thing just destroyed everything that was already there; nothing remains. Cannot even download the old app. It just blew everything up to the point where I’m wondering if this is a legit app at all or malware. **Developer response:** Hi there. Thank you! ### 1/5 — Almost a year with no fix for the app *2025-10-06* I use to use the stamps app all the time. It is the sister app for the Direct Mail app for MacOs. Was great for email blasts and tracking statistics. After an update of the Direct Mail app last year, this Stamps app didn’t work anymore. Now you can’t track blast statistics on mobile devices which was the best thing about Direct Mail. The company doesn’t seem to be able to fix this issue so I would avoid using Direct Mail and instead go with one of the many other blasting services. **Developer response:** We just released a huge update to the app to address this and other feedback. Please give it a try and let us know your thoughts! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore *2025-04-30* Stamps for Direct Mail used to be a good mobile app for monitoring Direct Mail email blasts. Recently they updated the Mac OS app and stupidly forgot to update the Stamps app that always worked in tandem with it. Now it’s useless. I’m forced to use another blasting service. I don’t recommend Direct Mail anymore. ### 1/5 — No longer works *2025-02-08* The app no longer works with the updated version of Direct Mail for Mac. **Developer response:** Hi! I know that the desktop software was updated recently and it’s a pretty terrible update if I’m being honest. I’ve been using the Direct Mail software since 2015. Would love to know your thoughts. ### 2/5 — No longer works *2024-11-01* Since the latest update to Direct Mail for Mac 7.0, this app no longer syncs with new emails sent out. ### 2/5 — Great start but needs lots of work *2012-07-11* Direct Mail is fantastic and I'm sure this app will eventually compliment it's many monitoring capabilities. As it stands now, this app is just too basic to be useful and some of it's basic functionality, like Charts doesn't even function. One of the biggest things I'd like to monitor is subscriptions and one can't even see how many subscribers one has right now. Hopefully it can be used with iOS 11 on iPad as well ### 5/5 — Great Resource *2016-01-29, version 1.4.5* Since downloading DirectMail to my Mac I have utilised this tool to publish newsletters and send them to subscribers. This mobile app helps me keep track of how many people are opening the email, who wants to subscribe/unsubscribe. This has been a very easy and handy tool in the productivity and professionalism of our organisation. Every small business needs to use email to communicate effectively with their audience, and direct mail are now truly the experts in their field ### 4/5 — Excellent Compliment to Mac App *2018-06-25* This is a useful and excellent accessory to the Direct Mail Mac App that is an excellent and effective tool for mass email campaigns. Direct Mail is powerful, easy to use, and excellent to delivering emails for a campaign. This lightweight app is a nice accessory to review progress, see reports, and even preview emails. ### 4/5 — Great but... *2012-06-20* I would like to see more detailed information so that I never have to open the desktop version after sending. Hope to see these added in future updates! ### 3/5 — Could use more functionality *2017-12-16, version 1.5.2* Stamps is the next best thing to MailChimp. However, it’s great on my Mac but I purchased this app hoping I’d be able to create on the go, but I can only view my current campaigns and sign people up with a form. That’s good but it would be even better if I could create new campaigns within the App. And another option on the Mac version would be to be able to send an email to one person and not have to create a group to do that. Otherwise, a very decent app for a fledging new business operator like myself.
