Apparently bank transfers are no longer working through this app, and no one at the company has decided to send any information out to the people who are required to pay their mortgage through this app. I’m really curious how they expect people to actually fund their company when they don’t explain that it’s impossible for them to take any money from us. I really wish that my mortgage was run through literally any other company. I can’t wait to refinance and get away from these people. ### 1/5 — The worst user exp *2026-01-21* I feel like this was someone's "my first app" project. I am updating this review to reflect that not only is the new app really bad like literally the worst app I've ever used, but I'm actually put out with the banking at this point. I feel like I'm being scammed. There has been major bait and switch with them. They owe money. Their customer service phone numbers don't work. I'm getting shunned by the person. I speak with over email. They refuse to call me to discuss the missing money with me. I get different answers every time. Yes, I'm gonna go to the Better Business Bureau. ### 1/5 — Frustrated that THIS is what we are forced to use now. *2026-01-04* App is missing a lot of key functions and options that the old site used to have. Can’t seem to find a way to setup automatic transfers anymore. Plus, the back button will disappear in the app, leaving your only option to close and reopen it, from which it will then ask you for a code EVERY SINGLE TIME with no option for “remember this device” or other recognition options. If you’re going to switch to making people use an app, might be worth checking that it includes and performs all the necessary functions the way it should before hard launching it… especially when timely mortgage payments are on the line. Updating to add that I’ve had bank transfers fail to go through multiple times resulting in lost rewards. Both the app and website version do not even contain basic functions like notifications/confirmations of transfers or other activity. DIRECT used to be great until they switched to this literal piece of garbage app. I imagine it has been nothing short of a nightmare for them too to deal with all the issues it has caused. 0/5 if I could just for being forced to use this interface alone. ### 1/5 — Horrible App, Worst Service *2025-12-12* One of the worst bank experiences I’ve ever had. The app is outdated, glitchy and borderline unusable for even the simplest task. Basic function functions fail regularly navigation is confusing. The overall design feels like it hasn’t been touched in a decade you can’t even use Face ID to login. Every interaction is an exercise and frustration! But the bigger issue is the bank itself after repeated failures and service and support ultimately had to escalate my case to the consumer financial protection bureau just to get movement. That alone should tell everything you need to know. If you’re looking for a reliable modern banking experience, look literally anywhere else this app in the bank behind it made routine bank. You feel like a full-time job. I close my account and will not be coming back. Completely fraudulent! Avoid any Directors Mortgage as well (affiliated). ### 1/5 — Should be investigated for fraud *2025-04-09* Direct home rewards use to be great but now seems fraudulent. With promises of back pay for home rewards and monthly bonuses for meeting account requirements they have done nothing to deliver. I am owed 9 months of home rewards totaling almost $1000 and still have yet to see a dime. Customer support keeps saying there is a delay and promised all rewards to be paid at the end of the quarter. That time has come and gone without the rewards being applied. Nothing but straight up fraud!!!
