The app is just horrific to use. The search function is probably the worst search I have ever used in my life. You search for anything that is a common item, even if you put the phrase exactly as it is written on their system, and a whole bunch of irrelevant items appear that have no correlation. The 60 minute delivery option also only delivers very select items from what it appears. The website does not allow you to use the 60 minute function and that too is a hot pile of garbage, search function there is almost as bad but both options also don’t show you all of the things they have to offer. Total garbage. ### 1/5 — Truly the worst app in the App Store *2025-09-30, version 2.9.29* I see the reviews have been reset. Well that’s all very well, but the app is still absolute rubbish. Can’t even open it: it says my phone “appears to be jail-broken or rooted” whatever that means. Nice to have developers that are so concerned for my safety that that are protecting my data from me by preventing me from opening the app. Zero evidence of CX expertise though. I am way past frustration. Now when I am feeling like being cheered up, I open the app, read the message that my phone has been jail-broken or rooted, and it gives me a good laugh. Been getting terrible reviews for YEARS! ### 1/5 — The app doesnt work *2025-09-30, version 2.9.29* This app doesnt work, there is no feature that actually works even the instore customer service was unable to help they blamed the signal even though I told them I’ve been trying to use the app for a Month to no luck. ### 1/5 — Jailbroken or Rooted message *2025-09-18, version 2.9.29* The message goes like “your device appears to be jail-broken or rooted. To protect your data, the Dis-chem app only runs on devices with their original security settings”. Really Dis-Chem???? Of all the 50 plus apps downloaded on my phone, only this one does not work. There is no point ordering via the app, on-line is better. Dis-Chem must just remove this app. ### 1/5 — What happened!!?? *2025-09-04, version 2.9.2* This app keeps getting worse. So amongst other things I’ve already mentioned in my previous review, I cannot now seem to get deliveries to all my addresses even though I used to receive them before. So irritating! I’m going to officially delete it. They so t care enough to respond to reviews anyway or atleast fix all the bugs. ### 1/5 — Poor app *2025-09-02, version 2.9.2* Very poor app and needs to be redesigned. Cannot process delivery address, change delivery address or select delivery. Assigns selected products when shopping online to random stores. App logs out randomly and does work on its own. It does not even show the medications that are available and those that can be ordered at a future date. It is a waste of time to continue trying. Poor integration to back wnd data - had to load prescriptions etc manually. Have deleted it several times from frustration. This time it came up with absurd message that my phone had been blocked ( I ported my old phone to a new one and expected to have to update a few apps but this was bizarre) ### 1/5 — Not User Oriented *2025-07-20, version 2.9.2* Whoever is incharge of this app honestly didnt do their homework, do surveys on what people want on the app because you cant find popular dischem products like your lip therapy, feminine health products, you guys need to do better, items you CAN buy and prescriptions seem random. ### 1/5 — Your app does not sork *2025-07-20, version 2.9.2* Your app incorrectly picks up my phone as being jail broken which as I have already stated, is untrue. The result of course is that I cannot use this app on my phone. Surely you can do better. The forgotten password link is invalid. When I initially opened an account, I managed to order my medication for collection, the info was not relayed. Useless app. ### 1/5 — Jailbroken / Rooted message *2025-06-30, version 2.9.2* I am experiencing an issue with the Dis-Chem app. It refuses to open and displays a message stating that my phone is jailbroken or rooted — this is absolutely not the case. This is extremely frustrating, especially when I rely on the app for convenience and essential services. Please urgently investigate and resolve this problem. I suggest reviewing your app’s security checks, as they appear to be incorrectly flagging secure devices. Your assistance and a prompt resolution would be appreciated. ### 1/5 — Buggy, not user friendly *2025-06-25, version 2.9.2* 1. Passwords.... Lots of issues. I reset my password, and try login, and the password is apparently incorrect? 2. Couldn't create payment link... Happened numerous times now. In an online world where everything is on demand and delivery driven.... I strongly suggest someone takes charge and overhauls this app from top to bottom. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Pathetic *2025-12-28, version 2.9.78* This app is so bad, it should not even be allowed on the App Store. The design is one of the worst I have ever seen. The latest update has broken the ordering of repeat meds. The designers should actually read the app design principles published by Apple. Clearly, no proper testing done before publishing the app. My guess is that a Windows developer is winging it as a mobile developer. It is cumbersome and frustrating to use. It would be better for all concerned it they go back to the drawing board with this app. ### 1/5 — Worst UX *2025-12-26, version 2.9.78* Worst user experience in a pharmacy app Dis-Chem DeliverD is disappointing In this day and age of advanced technology, it’s shocking that a major organisation like Dis-Chem has such a poorly designed app. The search function is completely broken it simply doesn’t work properly. You type in exactly what you’re looking for, and it either returns irrelevant results or nothing useful at all. The overall UX is frustrating and outdated. For something as essential as a pharmacy delivery app (especially in emergencies), this level of poor performance is unacceptable. Rather than risk wasting time with this unreliable app, I’d prefer to physically go to a pharmacy or use a competitor’s service. It’s pure disappointment from such a big brand. Fix your app, Dis-Chem customers deserve better! ### 1/5 — Badly designed and useless app *2025-11-30, version 2.9.68* The only good feature is that you can order repeat prescriptions. It is difficult to navigate and on top of that, it keeps logging you out if you dont use it just about every day. This type of app must keep you logged in or at least use apple face recognition. There are no benefit to being a member anymore as you earn no points, so no reason to be loyal to Dischem. ### 1/5 — Updated App Broken *2025-11-30, version 2.9.68* From a few days ago, the app stopped working, saying that my phone is rooted or jail-broken. That is simply not true. It has always worked okay until this past Friday. I queried on X, and they said that someone would get back to me, but no one did. I cannot believe that you continue to list an app that has received such poor ratings from virtually all users for so long. Several months later and no improvement. Avoid this app. ### 1/5 — DeliverD *2025-11-13, version 2.9.58* DeliverD is the most useless feature on the app. The search engine is terrible and about 80% of products don’t appear on the feature. I suffered through the process only because I had no alternative. Changing supplier in order to avoid this nightmare in future, and bring joy back to my life. Now I've finished the transaction, I'm deleting. Buggy interface,some items cannot be found when searched even tho they are available. Just using the search feature wil cause your phone to overheat. ### 1/5 — Cannot Log In *2025-10-17, version 2.9.49* I am an Iphone user, I can’t log into the app it keeps telling me that something went wrong and I even tried resetting my password a bunch of times it doesn’t help if you can please fix this it will help alot thank you. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 4/5 — Convenient App🙌🏾 *2025-04-02, version 2.8.2* The app has a user-friendly interface, making it easy to navigate. However, there is a slight delay when clicking on a product or switching categories, which could be improved. Otherwise, it’s a great app, I had no issues with ordering or payment. One thing I wish they offered is earlier delivery slots. Currently, deliveries are available from 10 AM to 5 PM, which is reasonable since the physical store opens at 9 AM, but an earlier option would be more convenient. Also, the app allows you to manage your prescriptions along with ordering products, which is a great feature. ### 4/5 — Helpful app *2020-01-20, version 2.1.1* I really like the app. Just to let you guys know, that when you go to “view bonus cards” and it does not find any, there is no “back button”. It often fails to load my prescriptions. My orders disappear often, which isn’t great because it’s important prescriptions. Not a great experience ### 2/5 — Dis-functional *2025-12-12, version 2.9.71* The most annoying and awkward “App” I have ever encountered. It got two stars only because they were not removable. I only tried to use it because the telephone is another system this outfit can’t get to use efficiently. ### 2/5 — Delivery slot an issue *2025-10-29, version 2.9.56* When using DeliverD now no matter what delivery slot is selected I get errors saying that slot is no longer available! How is any one supposed to order anything with an issue like that? ### 2/5 — Wrong Item Delivered – Very Disappointed *2025-09-03, version 2.9.2* I ordered a pair of crutches online from Dis-Chem, but instead of what I needed, the wrong item was delivered. This has left me inconvenienced and literally limping while waiting for the correct product. To make matters worse, contacting their customer care did not help – they simply do not respond. I expected better accuracy and reliability from a trusted retailer, especially when the order relates to health and mobility. Extremely frustrating experience. ### 2/5 — Not integrated enough *2025-07-09, version 2.9.2* The online shopping should be part of the app, without a separate log in every time. It’s extremely slow to load and not very intuitive.
