## What is Disaback?

Disaback turns a video clip into an animated GIF with a genuinely transparent background.

Point it at a video. It finds the subject, removes everything behind them, and hands back a looping GIF you can drop onto any background you like: a message, a slide, a website, a video edit.

FIVE WAYS TO FINISH IT

Original. The clip exactly as you shot it, minus the background.

Silhouette. A solid black shape, like a cast shadow.

Outline. Just the contour, see through inside and out.

Hologram. The subject redrawn in light, with a surface mesh that follows its form and a glow that spills past the edge.

Sticker. A white die cut border that hugs the subject, the way an iMessage sticker does.

IT WORKS OUT WHAT TO KEEP

No brushing, no masking, no green screen. Disaback looks at your clip and decides for itself whether it is dealing with a person or an object, then keeps whichever result is cleaner. Film a friend, a pet, a plant or a product, and it handles all of them the same way.

SEE IT BEFORE YOU EXPORT

The finished animation plays on a transparency checkerboard, so you can tell at a glance that the background is really gone rather than painted white. Press and hold to bring the original back, and let go to watch it disappear again.

EXPORT IT ANYWHERE

Save straight to Photos on iPhone and iPad, write it out to Files, or share it wherever you like. Choose GIF for the widest reach, APNG when you want soft edges and full colour, or a folder of numbered PNG frames to take into an editor.

NOTHING LEAVES YOUR DEVICE

There is no account, no sign in and no server. Your video is processed entirely on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Nothing is uploaded, which means nothing can be stored, seen or leaked.

CONTROLS WHEN YOU WANT THEM

The defaults are chosen to give you a good result without touching anything. When you do want control, you can set the output size, the frame rate, whether it loops, and how steady the edges are held from frame to frame, plus the look of whichever style you are using.
