## What is Disabled Directory?

DISABLED DIRECTORY — Built by a disabled person, for the disability community.

Showing up somewhere only to find there's no ramp, no accessible bathroom, or nowhere to park your wheelchair van is exhausting — and it happens far too often. Disabled Directory helps you know before you go. Search 31,000+ accessible places across all 50 states, keep your emergency info ready, and find help the second you need it. Free. No ads. No account required.

Whether you use a wheelchair, scooter, walker, or cane, or you're living with chronic illness or an invisible disability, this app was made for you — by someone who uses a mobility scooter and cane every single day.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

FIND ACCESSIBLE PLACES
Search 31,000+ accessible listings nationwide — restaurants, hotels, retail, healthcare, pharmacies, parks and more. Filter by category and search any city in the country.

GET CRISIS HELP FAST
One tap to 988, the Crisis Text Line, and emergency resources — right when it matters most.

STORE YOUR MEDICAL ID
Keep your conditions, medications, allergies, and emergency contacts in one place — stored on your device and ready to show first responders in seconds.

BLUE ENVELOPE CARD
A digital card to help you communicate calmly and safely with law enforcement during a traffic stop or emergency.

VETERANS & FIRST RESPONDERS HUBS
Dedicated resources for those who served and those who serve.

COMMUNITY FORUM
Connect with people who get it. Ask questions, share experiences, and find real support.

ADD & IMPROVE LISTINGS
Submit a place you love, or flag info that's out of date, to help keep the directory accurate for the next person.

ACCESSIBLE FROM THE START
Most apps bolt accessibility on at the end. This one was designed around it:
- Dark mode
- Adjustable font sizes
- High contrast mode
- Bold text option
- Color blind mode
- Available in English and Spanish

OUR STORY
Disabled Directory was created by Disabled Adventures LLC, a disabled-founded company in Ozark, Missouri. After a back injury changed how our founder moves through the world, he saw how hard it is to simply find out whether a place will work for you — so he built the app he wished existed. Every feature comes from real, lived experience.

DISABLED DIRECTORY PRO (OPTIONAL)
The whole app is free. If you'd like extra tools and want to support an independent, disabled-owned project, Pro adds a personal Health Manager to track your medications and appointments, offline access to your saved places, and more. Your support keeps this app growing for the entire community.

No ads. No account needed to get started. Just real help, built by someone who needs it too.
