It was fun but it glitches out sometimes. One time I threw the disc and it hit the ground with no obstructions present then just suddenly bounced and headed completely left into the water. Also I've gotten a quad bogey on a gimme putt because it kept clutching and dropping my disc. Should have had a birdie. Fun for rainy days. I specifically sought out a game that would satisfy this feeling when it was impossible for me to get outside and play because of work or prior engagements. This game attempts to bring about a solution to my time restrictions, however it falls short of capturing my affection due to a few bugs/glitches in the application. Here they are: 1) Power bar too close to the bottom-line advertisement banner. When accidentally pressed while choosing power and aim, it opens up App Store and causes you to get back in to app, waiting for load screen, end up right where you started when first opened the app. 2) Game doesn't know how to keep track of score after each hole on top left of screen. Just adds up your strokes and puts a plus sign next to it regardless of birdies or pars. 3) Putting is almost impossible, especially with the "Gimme shot" which is another way to add extra strokes on because whenever I get a gimme shot for par: my character glitches out by hanging sideways inside the basket, shoots the disc which then falls through to the ground, character then makes a disappointed "Ahhgg" sound then magical grabs the disc again to shoot and repeats this process until I press the power control button before it's next gimme shot and manually shoot it in. 4) Also for putting, the power bar doesn't take into account loft or distance very well to the point where every other hole's putts being either too long or too short. Nor does it follow your aim well, no near misses here. 5) What's with the way the disc acts when it hits the ground? Not every shot you throw will take two tiny hops after impact before stopping. A low forehand will skip up, go forward another 20-40ft, and turn right before stopping. Depending on the angle and height of a hyzer, the disc will roll. No rollers in this game? Why not? They are just as much part of disc golf as any throw. 6) Would be nice to know if the discs at your disposal were under/overstable before you start a round. Having endured these unavoidable issues constantly while playing has deterred me from purchasing the full version so I can only imagine how that is, but I do not think this game is completely rubbish. I saw potential before I downloaded it and I still see some now. If someone would really take a hard look at this almost awesome game, really investigate what needs to be smoothed out and alleviate the bugs, THEN this would be my favorite game to play on my phone. Until then, it's back to mind-numbingly boring puzzle games that only appear fun and interesting on account of their vibrant color scheme and simplistic layouts of repetitious nonsense. Please fix this game. ### 3/5 — Fix gimme shots *2014-04-13, version 1.112* Hole 17 needs big work. The putt out is out of synch, and the gimme shot keeps missing repeatedly. The screen doesn't seem to be adjusted to the iPad, so I couldn't ever do anything with the game. When you tap on one spot, it registers the tap about 2 inches below where your finger hit. Additionally, there is an ad that covers part of the bottom of the screen (with no way to close the ad), so that I can't access any of the buttons at the bottom. I literally wasn't ever able to play at all because of these issues. It seems like it would be a great game, if I were ever able to play. Granted there aren't many, this game has the potential to be thee premier "must have" game for disc golf. I would recommend a swipe up/down to control distance and arc. Also the menu interface and game presentation is lacking. But all in all, I've been waiting for a game like this to surface on the App Store. I'm having a lot of fun with this game and I am an avid disc golfer. Make those few improvements and you've got a 5 star app that I would gladly pay for.
