Something is really wrong with map in this version. I have found a bunch of courses using DGCR that I would have never known about without this site. The iPhone app was long awaited and has never been particularly feature-rich, but it was a reliable way to keep score while on the course and save your round details to your profile for future reference. Over the past 1+ year, the app has always crashed on me when I try to review my past rounds, which also prevents me from saving a round’s details to my profile if it was an incomplete round, i.e. didn’t play all 18 holes — which is fairly common for me. With the last app update being from 2 years ago, I am losing hope of the app serving as a helpful tool for me much longer… I have so much data on DGCR’s platform and am reluctant to try to transfer it elsewhere. I especially don’t want to lose data about my played courses, states they are in, and my number of throws, putts, holes played, etc. I REALLY REALLY hope DGCR can look into the bug about viewing all of your old rounds so I can save my incomplete rounds to my profile from the app! ### 4/5 — Great but some bugs *2021-07-11, version 1.34* I love this app but when you try to update an existing round the app crashes. And the reviews of the courses help decide if want to play a course or skip it. But the numbers at the bottom are not available to type over the score, putts, etc. So although I have an Update around button, I can’t actually update the round. Hopefully I can update on the web, or I’ll need to delete and re-enter the entire round. ### 4/5 — Nice App! *2018-12-16, version 1.32* I really like this app. One suggestion: In the stats section where you can see the scores of all your rounds, it would be nice to also include a +/- score along with the total score. Namely, it doesn’t include the ability to see what courses I’ve played, or mark a course as played. You can’t search by city because the state line in the search box is grayed out. I guess I expected a full function app when paying a premium price. I would pay much more for a cleaned up version that wasn’t so stodgy, and didn’t act as a portal for the website so much. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible, unusable update *2026-02-03, version 3.0.53* After the app switched from DGCR to this new format, mobile app is barely able to switch areas to search the map for courses. Also unable to access courses played through the app and there is difficulty logging into the desktop version of the site. Numerous other unusable features in the app. Overall a regressive update and I’ll be switching to UDISC full time now. ### 1/5 — Disappointed: From a longtime DGCR user *2024-09-07, version 2.4.1* I have had this app downloaded for the last couple years and have kept it updated in hopes of being able to use it. Unfortunately it has never worked. When I open the app I get the white logo screen and then it goes black after a couple seconds. When I started playing disc golf in 2007, DGCR was a treasure trove of information, the only resource I knew of for finding new courses and falling in love with disc golf. The app crashes constantly, making it almost unusable. This would be worth 3 stars if it was FREE. It costs $4!!!! For an app that costs money, IT SHOULD WORK! I use their website, which works great, so I took the plunge on the app to track my scorecard and figured I could upload it over to the website with ease. I figured, what's half the cost of a basic disc right? WRONG! BUYER BEWARE. I am also unable to log in with my DGCR account even though the credentials work on any other device/platform. Also, a lot of the information about local stores is out of date. I get that it is hard to keep up with courses, but stores are easy to track. This is especially disappointing since the app costs so much. Just a lot of bugs and things missing. Mainly from the player part of the app. When I add my friends to the player list they show up. But after a day of playing, the next time I played all the names were doubled and automatically placed on the scorecard. Going from two players to two of each player.
