When it’s shutting itself off every few minutes, it’s annoying as hell. ### 3/5 — Needs Some Tweaks *2026-03-27, version 10.0.6* All good except: Watching on my fire stick requires reloading the app nearly every time I open it. No other app does that. If I close the app and come back later, it never returns to where I was. It either jumps me back to mid-round of FPO or worse, it takes me to the current live point which has spoiled many rounds for me. And usually several times per round, the app drops out by itself, taking me back to the main menu, thus leading to the same problem of finding where I was without spoiling the part I haven’t seen. This has been going on for the last three seasons. I’ve given up on DGN ever fixing this, but perhaps someday they will surprise me. ### 2/5 — Major improvements needed *2026-03-16, version 10.0.6* 1- can’t press pause for long or you come back and have to start over 2- it rarely starts over from where you left off 3- when screen mirroring it’s so laggy. Can skip forward but not back without have to start over. Which sucks because (read #2 again) 4- for some reason it just fails to load. Have to close the app and re open it multiple times. 5-the cameras provide sub level coverage. I know that’s not really the app but the grainy footage is unbearable at times. For example, your place is not saved when watching a video. If I am in the middle of a video and pause it, and then resume the video on my tv or some other platform, my spot is not saved. Trying to get to an exact time stamp when using the mobile app is almost impossible. If you are watching a live event but you joined late and you’re watching behind, the same issue persists if you want to pause it and come back. This is even worse for trying to watch live events because it will automatically skip to what is live, often spoiling results. I’ve also come across a bug where if you have the pro subscription, it will often say I am unable to watch the live coverage because I need the pro subscription. Relaunching the app or switching between different menus is workaround though. In summary, there are a lot of video watching QoL features missing when that is essentially the sole purpose of this app. ### 1/5 — DGN has become such a money grab *2025-07-19, version 9.1.23* Don’t waste your money paying for subscriptions. You probably won’t get access to what you want to watch unless you pay $20 a month. Even then the video is grainy and audio is bad. I held the yearly DGN pass for years when it was $6 a month. It’s not even close to worth it now. Such a shame to see the DGN actively suppressing access to the sport we love. ### 2/5 — Was good *2025-05-26, version 9.1.23* This app used to be great and a convenient way to login to my DGN subscription on Apple TV. Lately every time I try to login it says it was an error with the code. It also doesn’t auto filling passwords and makes it more difficult to login every time I use it. I understand the discounts and stuff, but does a free pdga account have any access? ### 3/5 — Love the content but.. *2025-04-07, version 9.1.23* DGPT is doing a great job getting content out there, love the footage, cameras have improved, commentary is professional (though I’d choose the fun of jomez) - but the app is a struggle, skipping forward and backward on post - live rounds always ends up with the red wheel of death. Many things can be done to improve the application for the price of monthly sub. Very buggy especially when streamed or downloaded directly to your television. The technology available does not match the tech used. Improvement needed for this to gain traction. Lower the paywall or up your game DGN. Show more than lead or feature and second card instead of social media uploads for aces you miss. This would be a major step towards similarity to the PGA, if you want to be taken seriously and lose the hippie type classification…although I do not mind this stereotype. I write to customer support and I get a response asking for which platform, which browser. I write back often immediately and they leave my response, then on Monday or Tuesday, they say that they’re were waiting for a response, and that they are closing my ticket. I will not be renewing my subscription. ### 1/5 — Cancelled Subscription but Still Charging *2025-09-10, version 9.1.23* I cancelled my subscription at the start of this year through my apple account. After closely combing through my recent CC statement, I realized I was still being charged monthly even though I don’t have an active subscription. This is thievery and I will be considering further action to recoup money that I wasn’t spending. Awesome for keeping up with the disc golf community!! I got an idea for y’all! Try adding shorts! Make a little section of the bottom bar. And have it say shorts! The shorts can be of new discs or new companies, or sweet disc golf shots! Or aces or just funny moments!! Have people interact with the shorts too! The can like/heart it. They can share it or save it! This idea can make the app ten times better! It will open the community more. And show the world what Disc Golf is!! Love the app! Further, I noticed that I can watch a non-live video on my iPhone, then sat down to watch on my AppleTV, and it knows where I left off on the iPhone. It is easier to navigate and the search bar has allowed me to access all of the content I was looking for. Most apps I have used have the worst search bar, but I’m able to access it all! Thanks for improving the app and I can’t wait for the 2024 season! ### 5/5 — LIVE DISC GOLF! *2023-10-13* Watching live disc golf is what this sport needs. The quality of Disc Golf Network has been getting better and better year after year. The media team works hard, travels fast, and is dedicated to providing the best product to their ability. With things only getting better, including the idea of a potential new streamer host in the near future, I think the future for DGN looks very bright, and with the low cost compared to several other streaming platforms, I believe that it is a great deal that any connoisseur of disc golf would be happy with. During the off-season, they also have past coverage, and video channels that are fun to watch. At the end of the day, realize that any dollar paid towards this service will make it grow in quality. With the mindset that you are able to check out quality disc golf content, while supporting the future of the sport, DGN is your one-stop-shop. ### 5/5 — Discgolf Loves You! *2023-10-08, version 8.321.1* This has been one of the greatest things that’s happened to our sport. Live story lines, covering multiple cards, and great work all around. We know it’s not easy to please everyone all the time, but this app and network pleases the better majority of thankful discgolf patrons out there! Thank you! ### 5/5 — New era of access to disc golf, with interesting production decisions *2023-09-21* Overall I want to express my appreciation for live disc golf coverage as this is the height of such media for disc golf. I think the commentators are great folks, but do wish for a bit easier dialogue which I think will come with time. The connection and quality has been ok with sporadic issues. My largest complaint is that during this PPV coverage there are so many commercials. Be part of the action of this upcoming sport! ✅ ### 5/5 — Coverage is getting better and better *2023-07-22* The EuropeanOpen and all of the EuroTour coverage has been a great addition to the DGN. The coverage of the European disc golfers has made me a fan of many of the players that have not made it to the states yet. We are learning about their culture and home courses at the same time. I would enjoy even more info on these subjects as we watch the PCS and all the other great courses. Can’t wait for more of these wonderful players to come to the states and to have a worlds in Europe one year.
